Alright, I'm still behind Psychatog as one of the better decks for extended (at least for now), but which one of the Tog variants is best? UB, Loam Tog, Burning Tog, Ichorid Tog, any others I couldn't think of?
Oh, and please don't just post a message here saying "Tog sucks, play _______," or anything along those lines. |

Tog sucks. Play Squire.dec.
Sorry for the unconstructiveness. I just had to say that. |

| Im playing a 4-color tog version of burning tog, with maindeck genesis and Flametongue, also Burning wish and Gifts to fetch good cards (TM) including loam from the board |

Only Tog I've ever played is UB. It's probably not too competitive in the metagame, but it sure is alot of fun to play. With that many powerful cards, it can always win on a good draw and some good play.
I'm not familiar with the other builds, but upheaval/tog is always gonna be fun, especially with gigadrowse. |

in the tog variant vs tog variant matchups UB is the best bcuz it has speed and consistency
in most other matchups burning tog or madness tog |

not really
for example at PT LA
affinity was the most played deck
and there were 3 Tog decks in the top 8 and no affinity
now maybe those tog decks got lucky and didnt play affinity
but for the UBG tog variants affinity is a terrible matchup
<TogPlayer> pernicious deed
<affinityplayer> and there goes my board |

Affinty player: Pithing needle on deed.
Tog Player:
In all seriousness, Just wait for worlds, because a huge part of the metagame will be determined upon what does well there. I don't think tog is dead, but it's going to need to make some big changes if it wants to live, ie burning tog. |

Any self respecting UB tog player is going to be playing some form of bounce for needles and such.
Also I’m pretty sure it was split second that did the most damage to tog. The deck revolves around being responsive and not being able to guard only win condition at all really stings.
Although not many decks could/would run Sudden shock and friends, the threat alone I think will keep a lot of players off of tog(for better or for worse). |
