ok real quick i'm gunna explain sumthing...the reason i'm asking for suggestions for this deck is because I dont have a lot of money in real life and so this is a deck that i have a budget version of in real life (I dont have the lands and some of the rares). I've been doin alright in mini's w/ this deck but i just got hosed against a U/R tron hellkite deck (i dont think it was a d-storm deck) he disrupted me with a lot of counters and just built up a load of mana for kites...

Anyhow here is the deck and i really need some SB suggestions.

Gruul Beats:
Main Deck (60):
Creatures (20):
4 Kird Ape
4 llanowar elves
4 Scab-clan Mauler
4 Dryad Sophisticate
4 silhana Ledgewalker

Non-Creature spells (20):
4 Call of the Herd
4 Assault//Battery
4 Seal of Fire
4 Rift bolt
4 Moldervine Cloak

Lands (20):
5 Forest
5 Mountain
4 Stomping Ground
4 Karpulsan Forest
1 Pendalhaven
1 Skarrg, the Rage Pits

sideboard (15):
3 Naturalize
3 Tin Street Hooligan
3 Demonfire
3 Stonewood Invocation
3 Scorched Rusalka

I really need board suggestions but of course maindeck suggestions will be accepted

some cards ive thought of but dont have in real life:
Char
Rumbling Slum (maybe)

Also main deck:
Champs:
Kird Ape (duh)
silhana ledgewalker (untargetability for opp only is good)
Moldervine Cloak (dredge is insane)
Seal of Fire (turn 2 3/3's w/ trample rule)
Scab-Clan Mauler (see above)

Chumps (a lot of times doesnt help):
Call of the herd (i know its good but it ends up not helping alot...but still keeping)
Assault//Battery (usually ends up as a sorcery speed shock)
llanowar elves (usually ends up sitting there doing nothing)

Again Need suggestions... but will ignore any suggestions such as "play Boros you idiot" or "Play Zoo" or "why the hell isn't Char in here" because ive already addressed all of those questions and suggestions...

Thanks,
Ffancrzy

BTS is actually good atm due to all the 3/3's and as a bonus can help vs glare.

Char is an auto include in Maindeck for a Gruul deck, replace the assault//battery with Chars. A/B can be some fun utility, but it doesn't fit the bill in such a pure aggro deck, the damage from Char is just more effiecient and enables those awesimo 4th turn kills.

Thats my only real suggestion. The rest of your main looks pretty good, but going Magus for Llanowar might be something to look at as the Magus is more along the lines of what you want to do and can turn that land that you don't need in hand into a game winning shock. So thats something to ponder.

The sideboard looks pretty good to me.

So yeah, those are my thoughts, hopefully they are helpful.

Take out Ledgewalker for Scryb Ranger and take out A/B for Burning Tree Shawman. You can pay 4 for a 3/3 or 3 for a 3/4. Its much better. And get chars!

People are hating on BTS right now because they prefer Call of the Herd instead, but BTS blocks Call of the Herd all day and is some good vs. glare. You need to decide versatility vs. speed and swing all the way one or the other. If you go versatility, you play cards like A/B, Call of the Herd, Ledgewalker, etc. if you want a speed kill, play SC Mauler, BTS, Solifuge, etc. I'd take the speed route personally.

Sideboard..I don't know about the other 7 but

4 BLOOD MOON
4 THORNSCAPE BATTLEMAGE

the second to deal with Soltari Priest, Paladin En-Vec, etc.

ok first off every one thanks for your help now let me address a few things:

GnikXela: One of the main reasons i don't have BTS is simply because i don't own any (im poor as hell if you readmy intro, which i know no one did) and I own only 2 call because i pulled 1 in draft and I had an old school one.however the main reason I would think that Call would be better is simply the fact that it has Flashback...However I have had a lot of pay U return your token to your hand via repeal so I may still consider it.

GreenMidget: I appreciate your help but if you'd read my ramble before the decklist you'd see why I have no char's in there...Again I have none...I do agree with you and if I get any i will defanently put them in for Char. Also Regarding Magnus for Llanowar that also may e something to look into but again I don't own any (or any Scryb Rangers for that matter) So again I'll have to look into that

Affinity104: I really dont want to take out ledgewalkers they have flat out by themselves wn me games... If I resolve one against any control deck ,barring a Wog,it is usually game because I can constantly enchant it w/ Moldervine cloaks and even if they get countered they either get countered back to my hand w/ remand or i simply dredge them back However Llanowar elves have never won me even a game they usually just attack for 1 or get killed...also i never have pulled out a turn 2 call w/ it...also I agree w/ you on BTS but if i take out assault/battery I want to put char in so i'd look for another card to take out.

Aldaryn:I agree that BTS might be a consideration but i dont agree w/ solifuge...he is pritty much a bad sorcery speed Burn spell at best and gets countered way too easilly...When I first saw it i didnt like it much then began to see some of its potential but it isnt my kinda card...that being said I agree w/ you on every thing else except for ledgewalker. also Blood moon has been a SB consideration but again i havent gotten any i'm so poor lol.

Basically in summery if i can get my hands on BTS and or char I will take out Assault/battery...If I do that might increase the preforance level of llanowar elves also I may want to put Scryb in but i dont want ledgewalker out because I have a personal affinity w/ it so i'm not sure what i'd take out for it besides llanowar. BTS might be better than call so i dont know...and Thornscape is much better in zoo and is a little to high of a cost for me. I do agree it could help against pro red though so i will look into that.

keep the suggestions comming Smile

I’d cut lanny. i just never really liked him in gruul, it might just be me.

I’d also add 1 another Skarrg, the Rage Pits, its such a nice land.

Also: when would you bring in demonfire from the SB? seems like theres better cards for SB then demonfire depending on matchups you expect to see.

alright now we're getting somewhere...

your right ive never really needed demonfire in a match although unstoppable damage is really nice ...bu i havent thought of better choices so help me out w/ that

I agree w/ you on llany for reasons previously mentioned...

i actually had a secopnd skarrg in there but too often i would draw it and not be able to drop a turn 2 3/3 trampling beast of doom so i actually took it out
