Anyone else have as crappy time with the PS3 as me ...

One thing i've learned, listen to the store's ... you'll get screwed camp anyways ...

frys ... They did a sign up sheet on tuesday ... so everyone who camped got screwed

walmart said they wouldn't allow campers, people camped thursday morning at 7 ALL OVER THE PLACE. so if uw ere there on tuesday they wouldnt let u get?

best buy was full from the beginning

target stated u can camp out at 10, but people were there at 8 am

circuit city said no camping till midnight, go midnight and get harrased by police and yelled at to come back at 8, while line forms at 3 in the morning

costco states you can buy it at 8. they sell them all by 7 40. how? ... cause they started selling at 700

in other words i got screwed, the whole 24 hours non stop

As someone was quoted in the newspaper:

40% of the people on those lines are straight-up losers

40% are entrepreneurs - They sell their place in line (1 guy made $1000 by selling his place 3 times) and/or they buy the PS3 for like $500 or whatever it costs, then sell it for $3000 on eBay.

The last 20% just stumbled by.

I'm not sure about the last part because I basically think everyone there are basically losers or entrepreneurs. Mostly losers though.

first of all theres no way im gonna stand in line or camp for some dang ps3, and im not gonna pay 3k for it either, i can wait bout 3 or 4 months to get it, but i agree with ang, only the entrepenures and losers were out there

1st up reealize that only 100000 where made and thats it for a year. after a year you can only buy directly from sony and they will be $700. 2nd realize that the PS# fails in comparison to the x-bow 360 and Nintendo Wii. I only went this morning to get one because i sold one to a guy on ebay for $4500. i know he will be selling for more but hey i make $4000 off of it. I went this morning to the target by my house and my uncle is the manager. he let me in at 6:45 and the doors opened at 6:50, i was t he first to get it and got in a fight with a kid behind me because he said that was his and he tried to steal it. his ass wont be worrying about playing anything for awhile. the store that got the most was best buy, all of them got 35, and they had a sign-up list since last month. the 1st 35 was guaranteed a PS3. the rest of the stores got anywhere from 20(walmart) to 8 (Target). All walmarts did the sign-ups but target did the mad-dash.

The PS3 I just got is on its way to a kid in Augusta, GA and i put my money in the bank 3 hours ago. Smile

why would you buy first gen for $500? Will be buggy as hell, and by the time they release decent ones the price will have dropped

Xbox 360 is currently going on amazon for around 100 bucks. With quality titles like Gears of War and Dead Rising already available, and Halo 3 to be released next year, it's DEFINITELY a bargain.

Nintendo is taking a big risk with this nunchaku controller. The rewards could be tremendous, but it could also be a huge flop. Having to wave your hand to move swords or shoot guns could be very annoying if executed poorly. Making the game more interactive is not necessarily a good thing if they don't have the gameplay to back it up. Nintendo admits that the graphics will not be as advanced as 360 or PS3. I have faith that nintendo will pull off the Wii and bring consoles to a new level in this generation, but lets not get all over nintendo's nuts before the Wii has established itself as consistently BETTER than regular console gaming, as it is going to have to not only match, but surpass regular console gaming to experience any real success.

PS3's hardware is better than 360. Period. They will have already established, popular series releasing new installments on the PS3. With that in mind, you better be blowing all the other systems out of the fucking water if you are charging $599 a system, ($699 for the deluxe/good version). With 360s easily available from $100-$350 just about anywhere, there is no way that the PS3 is worth it. The Xbox has plenty of good games for much less money, an already active live fan base, and doesn't seem to be very far behind the PS3 in graphics or gameplay.

If the Wii delivers on gameplay though, as we're all hoping it will, neither the 360 or PS3 will really be able to challenge it.

100% of me will just buy ram and a new video cards and get to play games that are better than the ones on console. and i can use leet haxxorz to download an emulator.

0% of me waited in line for 4 days to spend 500 dollars.

plus the wii will be better...consider a blessing you never got to buy one.

100% of me preordered the PS3 from EB weeks ago. Didnt wait in a line for the preorder.

100% of me picked up my guaranteed PS3 this morning.

100% of me has been enjoying hte hell out of Call of Duty and Resistance all of today

I dont care, i can wait a year. and thats if i want to spend the 700 bucks, not to mention that used game stores will probably have em next year around this time.... so its all good
cause aint nothing worth giving up my self-respect to sit outside for days to buy something, after all its just "stuff" and it breaks eventually
and all this stuff about people shooting and beating each other up, i personally hold sony responsible, they could of made more units, they did that on purpose because they knew idiots would do this crap, so they would get publicity

so yeah, our circuit city got 6 (all 60) and me and my friend lined up on wed. at 5 pm, line filled up at 7 that night Razz

. We had a lot of fun camping out even after the first nights rain storm and freezing cold weather. I sold my spot to some dude who works at the store, and my friend ended up getting his ps3 (working perfectly so far) at 8 in the morn. I dont know, I think skipping school was worth it.

they've already made over a billion on American sales alone.
fact is, no matter the price, people still will buy that system so help them

Reportedly Sony is losing $300 on every system sold, so they better release some kick ass games and have stable system because this can just as easily kill their own games division.
