If my opponent attacks with a creature, and I untap it with something (Not maze of ith) will I still take damage?

Yes... It's not like creatures like Serra Angel couldn't deal damage at all just because they don't tap to attack. Being tapped has nothing to do with being attacking (except both are results of declaring your average monster an attacker).

In general, unless the card states otherwise, untapping a tapped attacker during combat will not remove it from combat.

You would not take damage if you untap it. That is, if you were playing by the old rules. Now days, the rules have changed that it does not matter whether the attacking creature is untapped or not.

The next time someone untaps my attackers, I'll just thank them.

Not when the guy being untapped (by Tidewater minion) is equipped by sword of the paruns, and then when you're opponent domes you to death with demonfire the next turn. |
