IMO I hate flips. Hamachi should be required and can run on all computers. Nico please read this poll and please change our standing on requiring Hamachi.

Everybody hates flips. The problem is, some people are running of Windows 98, which Hamachi doesn't support.

I think the best thind to do is have both MWS and Hamachi, just in case you encounter one of these people, such as myself.

To an extent I do agree with you, however... Sometimes even when players are connected over hamachi there are instances when both players are still unable to host. Although I do think everybody who is walled should by now have hamachi.

Yes, i simply ask that all people have it and use it, or have mws atleats, if neither option is available there is MTGO for you.

windows 98 does in fact support MWS (not sure about hamachi), regardless of what ignorant people say. If MWS doesn't run on your computer and you have windows 98 then you have some system problem causing this; the operating system itself can support MWS.

As for the league, only those using windows 95 or lower are truly incapable of running something other than apprentice. This cannot be a very large number of people (if any), and we should just tell them that if they want to participate they should upgrade their OS (you can buy used copies of 98 for like 10 bucks). The league would be much higher quality if flips were eliminated and an alternate play method were required.

I have MWS. I make sure I do, in case of instances suck as this. The problem is that people think Hamachi is the solution to all walled/router related problems. For the most part, it is. But there are those who cannot support the program. Simple as that.

I have stated this before and will repeat it here
As long as hamachi cannot be run by at least 99% of our users, it will NEVER be mandatory. Also seeing that hamachi does have it's own problems, and still is in beta there is no reason to force people to use hamachi.

the only time i cant host is when im wireless. i now have hamachi but have only used it once.
i do not like mws. ive been using apprentice for at least 4 years and dont want to have to learn how to operate a new program. i dont like that when you download it its just a shell of what you need. you still need all the peripheral downloads to get the complete card sets. with apprentice you get the full download minus a patch or two for the newest sets. with hamachi i still use apprentice. i just use a different way to connect.

For those who cant have Hamachi cause the have windows 98, you have bigger problems than not being able to connect. You need to get a new comp. cause yours is sorley outdated. Sry

A lot of people cant afford to get a new computer, let alone waste money on magic cards. Thats why they turn to a low req, free program like Apprentice.

The problem with MTGO is you have to pay to use it same with the good version of MSW. In my opinion all of us who can't host should just download HAMACHI. Its free, it only takes a couple mins and it's easy to use! Saves us all some time so we can play instead of waiting for a judge to flip for us to see who wins. There's no challenge for flipping, it's just merely luck!

What are you talking about?....99% can't use hamachi? IN what world do you live....maybe 10% can't run hamachi...and that's probablly a bit high. And appr has so many bugs it's ridiculous so you can't really complain about hamachi when you already have a mandatory program that's full of bugs...

Wow ignorance just runs rampant in this league. For starters...you don't want to learn how to use a new program??? MWS operates exactly the same as apprentice if you want it to be that simple. It just has more advanced features if you want to use them. And second...MWS is 2 downloads...the main program and the card info....thats it. GUESS WHAT: APPRENTICE REQUIRES 2 DOWNLOADS AS WELL IF YOU WANT THE CURRENT SET. It's good that you use hamachi but stop being such a sheltered, ignorant, and lazy fool.
