| Lightning Rift is probably the best Enchantment in Legacy right now. |

| Lightning Rift? are you serious? I think that deck sucks (even though i have a copy of it) that card is good in 1 deck. Just 1. Survival of the Fittest, now that card is damn useful. There are several decks built around it and half of those decks don't even need Survival of the Fittest to win a game. It helps, yes, but not needed. Rancor is solid. it makes anything into a beater. put a Rancor on a Academy Rector, Trust me it wins games! xD |

| Rancor will be around forever, Sotf doesn't currently have the impact it once had. Sotf is certainly a lot more versatile, and can lead to more interesting situations. |

Yes, I'm serious. Rifter may suck. I'm not a huge proponent of it (mostly because I don't often play Legacy). I don't think it is bad, though. Not great, perhaps, but at least as good as any Survival deck. Lightning Rift is an insanely good card, though. I played R/W Rift all the way through Onslaught standard, and was always very, very successful, even during the heyday of Clamp Affinity.
Survival can be played in many decks, but none of those decks are very good. Rift only fits in decks with cyclers; Survival only fits in decks with a lot of creatures. It and its men waste almost all of your space. Survival forces your hand just as much as Rift. Survival will never be a top tier deck in Legacy. Rifter has proven that it can find a niche. It is very good against the best 2 decks, Threshold and Goblins. A resolved Lightning Rift wins the game against any (virtually) control deck.
Rift is far more subtle in its brokenness than Survival. But the fact is that the card is nuts. Adding an uncounterable Shock to any cycle for a mere 1 mana is just great. |

| In most matchups, yes. If you're already way behind, then Humiility is better. On a relatively even board I would rather have Rift than Humility against virtually anything. |

I actually believe that story circle is a great card for white defensive decks. and it's also t2 legal. manabond and exploration have great decks revolving around them, as does stasis. For control deed ios probably just about as good as it gets (hits my tribal decks so badly) sneak attack works great and actually has some great 1 turn wins so i think that I wll go with sneak attack. drop of honey rules too
Go enchantments! |
