Ok, here's my next attempt at a deck lol. It looks like fun and I want to make it as good as possible to play against my friend's vintage deck. Most of it will be proxy since my playgroup is mostly T2 but I like vintage as well so we do some proxy games. Anyway...any critique would be nice. I would like it to be as competetive as possible. I know it won't win gencon.

Artifacts: 14
1x Black Lotus
1x Lotus Petal
1x Mox Ruby
1x Mox Pearl
1x Mox Saphire
1x Mox Jet
1x Mox Emerald
1x Sol Ring
1x Mana Crypt
1x Mana Vault
1x Tormod's Crypt
3x Mindslaver

Instants: 10
4x Force of Will
4x Mana Drain
1x Vampiric Tutor
1x Ancestral Recall

Sorceries: 4
1x Timewalk
1x Tinker
1x Demonic Tutor
1x Imperial Seal

Enchantments:
2x The Abyss

Creatures: 3
2x Morphling
1x Darlsteel Colossus (alt win)

Lands:
4x Academy Ruins
4x Mishra's Workshop
4x Underground Sea
4x Polluted Delta
4x Island
3x Swamp
1x Tolarian Academy

The idea is to put them into a mindslaver+academy ruins lock. The problem is the huge amount of land required to pull it off. 12 to be exact...any suggestions?

Take a look at a Control Slaver deck. That deck does exactly what your trying to do, and it is a very successful deck in Vintage. I highly suggest you take a look at it.

You also, don't need two morphling, or even one. Most decks just the lone DSC will win you the game. The only thing you have to worry about it STP. Which, suprisingly, a lot of decks don't run.

Do you realize that you replaced a creture that does the same thing as the land you replaced it with, in a format where there is at least 3 times as much land destruction than creutre hate.

Do you also realize that the reason why there is no creture removal is because aggro is an awful deck, which means that The abyss is awful.

You only run 11 blue cards, the minimum number of blue cards nessescary for force of will is 16 and that is cutting it a bit close. Also do not run BRAINSTORM, one of the best cards in the format which should go into every control deck.

Your mana base is janktastic. You are trying to power out threats with mana drain, which costs UU. You run 3 swamps which hinder the depvelopment of mana drain mana being up on turn 2. Workshop also does this bat at least it can be used to cast mindslaver, but that is really all it does. Without helping to avctivate it. Do you also realize that you are running 34 mana sources.

Once your combo gets going it requires 12 mana plus having the adacademy in play to keep the combo going. While you don't nessacarily need to go infintie right away, goblin welder does this much more efficiently. In addition traditional slaver has thirst for knowlege and a decent draw engine, which you completly lack.

You also completly lack any resiliancy to hate. Almost all forms of hate affect this deck. You die to wasteland, null rod, pithing needle, tormods crypt, darw engines, counterspells, ledgend rules, and juggernaughts.

Also 2001 called. They want their morphlings back.
