it has a good game vs most creature based decks... beats goblins 60% percent of the time... need help to fight off combo and well decks with mass removal or control... well havnt really tested vs control or combo but input is welcome... oh and before any flaming happens play at least 15 games to learn how to play it properly
.............................................................
forest:duh
wirewood lodge: contains cool elves that need untaping
gaeas cradle: mass man producer
land grant: cos fetch lands are things i dont own yet
viridian zealot: stops random enchantment and artifact
Derranged hermit: awesome with anger in graveyard... pumps the cradle... and 9 damage sometimes wins games... can be played mutiple times with symbiote
netama, grove guardian: well he only gets better as more mana pumps in... normally only need about 7-10 saps if even
genesis: brings back things like spore frog, eternal witness and just stuff to discard for survival and any mana producers that die along the way
rofellos, llanowar emissary: sometimes its a better choice than priest depending on game status
squee, goblin nabob: he keeps coming back to get discarded
seedborn muse: often makes them saps come alot quicker
anger: all creatures have haste
eternal witness: brings stuff back in times of need
spore frog: stops combat damage... sometimes sided out... main reason of beating goblins
survival of the fittest: well... try for it in first hand... mull to 5 if you have too it wins the game(dont know bout this vs control though)
wirewood symbiote: often gets the mana needed to do the job from priest or roffy
seeker of skybreak: see above
qurion ranger: see above
wellwisher: often lifegain is need vs burn decks
timberwatch elf: allows alternate win condition and proctection for creatures from burn
fyndhorn elves: adds g
llanowar elves: adds g
priest of titania: adds s*** loads of g
need help on sideboard for an overall meta with all the top decks.... thresh, well any extra help v goblins, fairie stompy, stasis, combo like iggy pop and salvagers...etc...
i must admit i have been lucky in drawing my survivals, hope i never left much out |

| damn it theres always something i dont read... that just makes me stupid or just not so much on the bright side... repeating the same thing doesnt help my cause...just replace some of the forests with 2 taigas and a mountain and some woodedfoot hills instead of the land grants and we'll have lift off again. |

| Why not just play RGSA, which is a proven deck, or the mono-green Survival variant with Rootwallas, etc.? Nemata is an awful card, and there are much better things to play than elves. |

I have to agree with GRAH on this one. One of the major tenets of building a Survival deck is that it has to be able to kill without getting the bent enchantment. The deck should win without it, but will win with it. To that end, all of the cards you have which resemble anything even close to a kill are singletons, while all of your multiples are mana accelerants. What do you do when you have all of that mana, but nothing to spend it on??
If you want a deck based off of fast acceleration into threats like Hermit, I'd suggest looking up an old deck called Trinity Green. It's based off of accelerating out a Skyshroud Poacher, which searches up Deranged Hermits. Cradle mana also allows you to play stuff like Trinisphere and Plow Under at the same time. |
