Kageshi

..::Mana::..
14 Island
10 Plains

..::Enchantments::..
4 Empyrial Armor
4 Spirit Link

..::Instants::..
2 Forbid
2 Force Spike
2 Jester's Cap

..::Creatures::..
2 Alabaster Dragon
4 Disciple of Grace
4 Higure, the Still Wind
4 Ninja of the Deep Hours
4 Peregrine Drake
4 Soltari Monk
2 Thalakos Dreamsower
2 Thalakos Seer

The goal of this deck is to slowly chip away at my opponent's life. The ninjas are a new wrinkle, this deck used to be a solely shadow/flying with the Disciples thrown in to deal with the black decks that always give me fits. This deck is especially nasty when I can enchant my shadows with an Empyrial Armor/Spirit Link combo, which is usually a creature per game.

Yeah, I don't really play tournaments or official events, it's a waste of time and money IMO. However, I haven't ever lost with this deck and that includes against recreations of decks that have seen some decent results in tournaments, although admittedly that was back when the Urza cycle was T2.

However, I don't really find the deck a joke for the simple fact that I could, and have several times, hit my opponents up for five life points a turn using a Scout with the Empyrial/Link combo. The big weakness is that every time I make a change I have to fine-tune the lands to make sure I get a decent flow of mana every game.

I don't get how this is Vintage. If anything, play this in legacy.

Unless you think losing on turn one is cool.

Online? Yeah, that'd be a good idea when anybody can put together the Uber Deck of Doom for a T1 tournament.

CASUAL

That means it's not supposed to be the best deck ever. Not all players play magic 100% competitively.

edit: And casual, for the most part, means vintage, as you don't want to play the superpowerful cards anyway, so any ban/restriction lists are irrelevant.

Just out of curiosity, what's with the power!wank attitude on this board? The last time I played for real, people relied more on clever strategy to win. Well, not necessarily the green decks, most of the time they relied on power creature beat downs. Now it seems people think if the card isn't juiced and/or broken it isn't worth anything. Pathetic, really.
