Blood Moon says "All nonbasic lands are mountains"
Does that mean they are also mountains, so they can also produce red mana, or that they can produce ONLY red mana?
If the second one is true, how come you don't see it in every deck? it pretty much disables all the blue-white control decks, and many aggro decks.

Thanks

Blood Moon makes non-basic lands able to produce ONLY red mana. And the reason you don't see it main deck is that there are still people playing basic lands, and people are still playing red spells. It's def a worthy sb cards in many decks though.

Well yeah, maybe not main deck, but a very strong SB deck vs decks without red
Especially decks that uses urzatron

If my nonbasic snow land (scrying sheets for example) is turned into a mountain this way, its mana is no longer snow?
And does the type still count as snow?

It's a basic mountain. For all intents and purposes, the snow defrosted. lol

.. it doesnt defrost snow covered mountain.. because they are basic land

it just turn nonbasic land into a non basic mountain..

having the status mountain on a land automatically lets it produce red..

However, basic snow lands are not nonbasic lands, so a Snow-Covered Island would still be a Snow-Covered Island.

I use 4x blood moon in my 5 color 250 deck. It proves to be a winner. So many people run fetches/duals/etc in their 250's I just decided to hate against it, and I had people scoop because of it.

To directly anser Tima's second question, with Blood Moon in play Scrying Sheets become:

Scrying Sheets
Snow Land - Mountain
Tap: Add R to your mana pool

Blood Moon does NOT remove supertypes, which Snow is. Snow remains snow, artifact lands are still artifacts, and legendary lands are still legendary.

Additional Info: When non-basic lands are turned into mountains by Bloodmoon, they are still non-basic so Price of Progress combos with this. I went to the Legacy tourny at GenCon and hurt people that way.
