Is sosuke's summons broken? Should it be restricted to one?
Yes and yes. It's too broken to have it as a set.

Just like snakes will be destroyed when 'Spiral rotates in.

Sakura-tribe scout? you've got to be kidding. It's having to play shitty cards like sakura tribe scout that makes snakes unappealing to me.

Honestly I can kinda see what hes saying about the top, its not really abusive but it is annoying. Its not so much that its overly powerful but I do believe that it is overly effective. It's a pretty much auto include on any control deck with 8 or more shuffle effects. I just think those kind of cards are bad for magic. I have a personal disliking of cards that are auto includes into 80% of the decks in the field, not so much of an issue in t2 but it(along with another overly effective artifacts) made Kami block boring as hell.

I'm hoping that this thread was a joke, but the topic's author does not seem to have any trace of sarcasm in his voice. But he's got to be fucking kidding here, right?

Sosuke's Summons broken? Restrict it? A 3-mana Sorcery that makes 2 1/1s? It could automatically buy itself back for 0 and it still wouldn't be broken. It's nowhere near the best card in Standard. Snakes is nowhere near the best deck in standard. Why aren't you complaining about something worth complaining about?

i was hoping you could give a valid reason why you think its not broken. shouldve known ur just one of them dumbasses who loves to flame ppl.

I shouldn't have to explain why a 3-mana Sorcery that makes 2 1/1 tokens isn't broken. Do you have any idea what broken means? You're just one of those dumbasses who flame people who don't answer a question the way you want. Of course my response was strong, because it isn't even fucking close.

Snakes is a good all around deck, and for a key element of the deck to be taken out is like taking Elvish Champion out of Elf decks.

I'm not saying the card is completely non-BS, but none the less, it is an alright card, and isn't as broken as format-defining cards such as Top and Jitte. If you saw that card sitting in R/U Tron, then I'd start wondering what was going on as well, but it's a one deck deal. If you honestly want to deal with it, out play them, or just make a faster deck.

Or play the deck yourself, and then you'll see why it's fun or if it's not. Sometimes complaining about something without actually trying it for yourself could leave you with only a negative opinion, versus a well balanced opinion. And if you have played the deck, then you'd know that's one of the main components of that deck, which defines it.

I have played against this deck in a casual format, and I can understand the annoyance of the tokens, but they're not impossible to get rid of. Try playing Brooding Saurian if you're playing green.

Nothing is impossible to beat, but it sometimes requires more work and strategy to compensate for.

Good luck.

More relevantly, it is amazing with double lands. See Billy Moreno's Summer Boom Booms.

I didn't read the three pages of comments, just wanted to say what 40 other people probably said. That they don't restrict cards in standard and that Sosuke's Summons isn't broken. In fact, there's ludicrously good hosers in this format for everything, including Summons. If it was too powerful, the metagame would adjust.
