I play Bottled Cloister, my hand is removed.. My opponent Confiscates it. Next turn of my turn, I Confiscate it back. Will I get my previously removed hand back next upkeep?
Also:
Same situation, but Bottle is RFG'd, and I wish it back and play it. Will I get my previously removed hand back next upkeep? |

on your first question, you would get your hand and your opp's hand during your upkeep, the second question is no because the cloister would new to the board and clositer would not know that it rfg your hand previously.

Uh no, that is not how the card works.
If I am correct, your hand remains removed from game as long as you do not control it, meaning that your opponent doesn't get your hand either. If you manage to get it back, on your turn only your hand is returned, not your opponents. Otherwise it would get confusing and rather unfair if your opponent or you got both hands.
As for when Cloister gets removed from game, it is correct that you won't get your hand back. When it is returned to play, it does not have any memory of what cards have been removed from play and treats your current hand as a new hand and will only return those cards at the beginning of your turn. The cards removed beforehand are removed forever. The same is true if the Cloister was returned to your hand or destroyed and another took its place.

Oracle text:
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, remove your hand from the game face down.
At the beginning of your upkeep, return all cards you own removed from the game with Bottled Cloister to your hand, then draw a card.
Bottled Cloister was recently errata'd to prevent this, you can only have cards you own in your hand. |
