Let's see:
i have a werebear in play and 6 cards in my graveyard. if i cast pyroclasm, when it resolves it makes 2 damage to the werebear and the pyroclasm goes to graveyard, so threshold is active and werebear becomes a 4/4 as treshold is a state-based efect, so it keeps alive or dies?

if he dies, what would happen if i have 2 werebears, the second one keeps alive while the first one dies?

thanks for ur help

pyroclasm has to resolve before it goes to the graveyard and deals the damage to everything at the same time so in both situations, no werebear will live.h

werebear lives much like if u wildfire with a 4/4 mag the state based effects check whenever a player gets priority so when they check it sees u have threshold and both bears will live and if u have just one itll live

Alex is wrong, the pyroclasm is being recognized as going to the graveyard and threshold becomes active before the spell resolves. so it lives.

You got the end result right, but put slightly wrong. The spell resolves, during the resolution the card goes to the graveyard. Threshold becomes active, then state-based-effects kick in, like checkin for lethal damage. Our druid lives.

threshold and magnivore don't use a trigger so they get pumped before the spell resolves, vulturous zombie however does use a trigger so a 4/4 zombie will die to wildfire regardless of how many creatures go into the opponent's graveyard because of wildfire.

This is Lackeos, in case the forum says I'm a guest.

Anyways, Synch and Danny are mistaken. The card doesn't go to the graveyard until the end of the resolution (i.e., you can Circular Logic for zero, because the card doesn't count itself, because it doesn't go to the graveyard until the end of the resolution). Also, the Werebear(s) don't get buried due to state-based effects (damage > toughness) until the end of the resolution. Both state-based effects will take effect simultaneously and the bears will survive.

To give a more concise answer to this, State-Based effects are only checked whenever a player would receive priority. The threshold ability on werebear is a static ability with a continuous effect, and rechecks continuously to see whether its conditions are met. That static effect and the continuous effect given by it (the p/t modifier) go into effect before state-based effects are checked, so the state-based effect of lethal damage never occurs, since the werebear does not ever see itself as a 1/1 with 2 damage (only as a 1/1, then as a 4/4 with 2 damage).
