before guildpact came out green was more powerful than most, but it has just faded away a bit now.
they seem to be beefing red up again tho, which is great |

Countering specific color cards is pretty lame - not maindeckable. |

The Goblins deck that T8'ed Regionals in Hawaii was mono-red. I should know; I desperately tried to get that guy to play something viable . Maybe if he did, he would have gotten an invite to Nationals.
Any way, Flash Freeze just isn't that great. There's not really much more to say here. |

| I think this could replace remand in some decks, but Dr. just to let you know Counterspell is #1 on the NEVER REPRINT list. And Counterspells are not leaving the format, we are finally getting enough of them make decks with them, Hinder, mana leak, Remand, flash freeze, rewind, voidslime, spell snare, thats 7 + muddle is 8 and thats plenty to chose from. So by saying its leaving, the most dominate decks in t2 are tron and all those include blue. |

rewind, hinder, snare, leak, remand, rune snag, controvert, flash freeze, convolute, disruptiong shoal, frazzle, runeboggle, hisoka's defiance, minamo's meddling, muddle, induce paranoia, oppresive will, overwhelming intellect, quash, remove soul, squelch, thought bind
weve got 22 counters in T2 as of July 20th when coldsnap enters the format however there are only 6 usable counters:
leak, hinder, remand, snag, controvert, rewind and seriously depending on the enviornmentthe conditional counters like thoughtbind, freeze, muddle and those things
but yes we all know U/x control decks are here to stay for a long, long, long time to come so even debating if they're leaving or not is a frivolous waste of time
also i dont think counterspell is #1 on the dont reprint list its proly lotus or duress. counterspell is good but not #1 on the list |
