Most people who are playing against a white control deck are never going to commit that many to the board (barring tokens, in which case you still won't be achieving card advantage from it). And yes, 4 is most definitely whopping. |

So everytime a card with a similar effect as WoG is printed that means they'll be taking it out of the base set? Because it has seemed to me that they put at least one wannabe-Wrath card in every block they make (Ravnica has two!) And as far as I know, WoG has continued to be printed. Now, if they were to actually reprint WoG itself in an expansion (a'la BoP), you might, MIGHT be onto something.
Winds of Rath, Kirtar's Wrath, March of Souls, etc have not caused WoG to be left out of Base sets past. Why would that change with this, even crappier replacement for WoG? |

| MM, there have been rumors that Wizards has been looking to take Wrath out of the base set for a while. This card has very little to do with that in my opinion. If Wrath isn't in 10th, it will likely be replaced by one of its crappy variations (I heard someone say that Retaliate was possibly going to be in 9th, but it turned out to be awful. Doubtful that was true, anyway). |
