What's up again. I was thinking about all the magnivore in t2 and seen how dominant it is and I thought about Terravore. In its day it was a dominant creature and in some formats is still used. I finally thought, what about this great low mana cost creature. I thought about how you could get land in yours or opponent's grave. Then the thought of Vinelasher Kudzu came to mind. All the land in extended these days go through the onslaught lands. Here it is:
4 Vinlasher Kudzu
4 Terravore
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Glimpse the Unthinkable
4 Counterspell
4 Undermine
4 Putrefy
3 Smother
3 Life from the Loam
4 Breeding Pool
4 Tranquil Thicket
4 Flooded Strand
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Barren Moor
3 Watery Grave
3 Overgrown Tomb
Sideboard:
4 Trial/Error
4 Cranial Extraction
4 Naturalize
3 Hideous Laughter
The point of this deck is simple, get land quickly and maintain control until you go for the kill. This is a nice set of control in this deck. You are gonna lose live in this deck, but you can maintain control of the board for the ladder part of the game. Aggro Decks are gonna kill me but I am available for any suggestions. Thanks for your time. Please reply to this deck, I think it can be very good if possible you guys can help. Bye now!!!!!!!! |

| glimpse is a waste of a card. why on earth would you run undermine over counterspell, or voidslime? |

glimpse is there to throw opposing lands to the bin and it also takes threats out of the opp. deck in this deck it is a dual threat
and he does runs counterspell.
he runs overmine over voidslime cuz he feels like it |

| I posted a deck idea like this a while ago... But mine ran Mortivore. I don't know if you considered it, but I would really try to work it in, and add some more creatures. Take out about 4 lands too... I know you want them for terra, but it seems you will draw too many. I would add in shambling shell.. Many people underestimate him, especially if you have some more creatures in there. |

| The reason its a lot of lands is for the kudzu and life from the loam. The thickets and moors are for draw power only. Plus, I dont need that much land in this deck anyway. I like the good land amount in here. Its 26 not too far away from the normal 22-24. It has worked beautifully so far with a 21-2 record. |

terravore glimpse sounds rather mediocre, not to mention worthless in some cases
glimpse doesn't make it less likely for an opponent to play a threat |

Secondly, Glimpse is a waste of space in this deck, it cant remove threats, as you have no idea whats on the top of his lib. And in a format where ichorid and eternal witness are heavily played in some of the top 3 decks (friggorid, Tooth and Nail, and CAL), filling your opponents graveyard is going to get you killed. So its only purpose is to pump a sub optimal creature? Thats a big waste of space for a card, plain and simple.
Undermine is a horrible counterspell compared to Voidslime, thats very obvious. Voidslime can stop alot more things, and the "lose 3 life" on undermine is hardly ever needed, ever. Unless your up against worship (you wont be, and if you are naturlize is better).
btw KFC - This isnt your deck, i gave him advice on cards. He posted here wanting advice, so i gave it. and im sure most people will agree with what i stated. Obviously glimpse is horrible; people need to get over the fact that its not a good and that its binder trash, and rarely playable. And voidslime > undermine, esepially when green is his main color and black is his splash.
Also, here is some more deck advice. Mana leak is probally better then counterspell, as long as you have voidslime in the deck as well.
Werebear might be better then Terravore, or Mystic enforcer as a better finisher. Just take out the barren moors and add temple gardens/hallowed fountains/Godless Shrines most likely temple gardens.
I dont really like the LFTL/cycle land draw engine, in my opinion it wastes to much mana when you could be casting spells and using counters instead of drawing cards. Personally i would take out the thickets, add forests, plains swamps. (you have no basic lands, blood moon is bad for you.) And play Top/confidant draw engine.
my decklist would look something like this:
Creatures:(18)
4x Vinelasher
4x Confidant
4x Birds of Paradise
4x Sakura Tribe Elder
2x Mystic Enforcer
Spells:(19)
4x Mana Leak
4x Putrefy
4x Voidslime
3x Diving Top
4x Smother
Land:(23)
3x Breeding Pool
2x Temple Garden
3x Overgrown Tomb
2x Godless Shrine
2x Forest
1x Swamp
2x Island
4x Windswept Heath
4x Woodedfoothills |

OMG, Tooth in the Top3 decks =\
Psychatog, Ichorid, CAL, Madness and BDW are the top decks. (i might have missed one) But tooth doesnt stand a chance in a format being owned by Cabal Therapy. Especially when this format also has duress and INFINITE counters.
A little edit; the deck you made asamodius is better than the one posted previously,. but why aren't you playing duress and cabal therapy over Putrefy and Top? those cards are a real waste of TEMPO in your deck. |

| Calm down and stop the flaming. I've simply edited the unacceptable posts because I don't want to lock an on-topic thread. However, if the personal insults continue, I will have no choice but to do so. I only hope that we can have a peace for this thread that fosters a positive environment for deck development. |

| Thanks for the decklist, mage. I will try it out see how it works. I will also keep my deck idea but make some changes. I will probably play smarter because i go for the early glimpse, or i might glimpse myself for help on the loam. Thanks and everyone continue with your suggestions. |

Actually, Tooth and Nail is very very strong. the key against discard is to use diving top and keeping a tooth and nail on the top til you can cast it.
The problem with tooth and nail was that no one had success with it, until the very last extended event of last season (mainly because no one played it or even considered it.) And tooth and nail has only gotten better with the addition of dissesion because of one card: Sky Hussar, infinite guys on turn 4 easily. Ohh, and tooth and nail basically auto wins versus control, if they dont have spot targetted removal, because of Bosejui (a one of that can be fetched with 8 different cards, not including Top)
Actually, i hadnt considered them, i just improved his current draw engine (lftl + cycling lands), because it was too mana intensive. I just love a deck that can use top with so mana shuffle effects (STE and the fetchlands). You could probally cut top in favour of duress or cabal therapy, and put the one you dont choose in the board (cluttering up with all 8 would make your match versus madness, goblins, BDW, affinity or any other random aggro deck you might face). Id personally like cabal therapy main, duress side.
Also, i just love putrefy, but i suppose its not that good.
