I went 7-2 with UR Tron, which imo was the best deck choice in the format

I was 6-1 after losing rd 1 to u/w jank that simply outdrew me in g3

our t8 looked like this

1 RWU Firemane
1 Ghost Dad
1 Husk
1 UGw Critical Mass
1 Greater Good
1 UW Control (really really bad)
2 Beach House control

The RWU deck took home 1st place
Husk and both beach house decks q'd

I played the version of BWG control I had been working on to go 7-1-1 entering top 8 in 7th place. I got paired against the only guy to beat me in swiss :-/ which happened to be almost the same deck (he ran karoos so he didnt need farseek, allowing him to maindeck crime // punishment, tech against mirror, mad props to him) but we put on one hell of a topdecking show.

Hey all! I went to regionals, and played a Red splash White, Burn deck. Now, in old school days, it used to be the feared shizzle. . . Not this time. The deck was solid:
4 Lava spike 4 Shock
4 Volcanic Hammer 4 Lightning Helix
4 Guerilla Tactics 4 Char
4 Flames of the Blood Hand 3 Yamabushi's Flame
3 Sensei's Divining Top 3 Zo-Zu, the Punisher
3 Seal of Fire
4 Sacred Foundry, 3 plains, 13 Mountain

Now, anyone who loves RED like I do, should be drooling now. Some might think this deck should've faired well?! I certainly thought It would Kick A$$!
Unfortunately, it went 3w - 5L. I had fun though, and recieved compliments from players and judges.
The Rundown, Rd 1. Up against this crazy concoction of B/W spirit/ Ghost Daddy, with Pontiff. I thought I could beat him with s/b clasm will own him. . .His Ghostway owned me!
Rd 2, I went up against R/W/G Mini beats. I lost, clasm again was not my friend.
Rd 3 I played up against Heartbeat, and took one game from my opponent by Pithing his Drift, but lost G3.
Rd 4, R/U (no tron)Owl. I got mana hosed two of three games.
Rd 5, I couldn't tell you what my Opp was running, because my deck decided to join me, and I swept both games in under 7 minutes. I remember one game seeing a Meloku, and the other game, Mountains and Islands.
Rd 6, Again, my deck was awake, and swept in under 10 minutes against U/W something with Windreaver. Pithing shut it down hard.
Rd 7, my deck went to dinner or something, I got smoked by R/W/G Aggro. super fast! My Opp even said it hadn't ran that fast all day.
Rd 8, Final Rd, at this point, I didn't really care. I had come to play it out, and this last round, I kinda felt bad for the guy across from me. He was playing a cheaper version of U/R Tron, his only two wins were because of no show on opponents, but I sizzled his mind, and he was a good sport about it!Swept in under 10 minutes.
I thought it should've swept in under 10 minutes every round, but alas, I will never play straight burn again.

I went 7-1 in the "Columbia Valley" regionals and was in first seat going into top 8 playing ghost husk. I match ups were something like:
3 Gruul
2 Sea Stompy
1 2nd turn hipnotic specter (Green Black Aggro..)
1 Hand and Hand
My only loss was to the Gruul deck because after losing the expected first game to him (as I seemed to do most of my rounds), and winning a very one sided game two, his draw game three was pretty good and my mediocre draw did not really stand a chance. Obviously my results were a little skewed by the lack of control matches, but thats what regionals is i guess. The deck was really good from what i can tell and was not that hard to play. Also shining shoal and paladin en-vec are the two best cards in standard Very Happy .
