You shouldn't be forced to use MWS in an apprentice mini. MWS is very unrealiable and can crash. Many people don't want the game loss.

Portforwarding isnt as easy as it seems. Ive sat here half the day trying to get this to work.

Created the static ip, setup the forward service on my router, turned off the firewalls.

Still no dice.

How about the TC trys to work with the players to match up people so that as few games end up flips as possible? How many flips could've been avoided by pairing up hoster with non hoster and another hoster with another non hoster instead of hoster vs hoster and non hoster vs non hoster? I think EVERYONE can agree this has some merrit. Just have everyone submit their hostable/hamachi/MWS capableness as part of joining a mini or a master (or even all tournys... or at TCs decision).

I know, potential abuse of "I can't host!" to change opponents, right? Well don't tell someone who they're opponenent is until the TC has checked to see if the randomly made list is flipless and if it isn't, could a change make it so.

So..... what do you all think?

That is by far one of the most RETARDED statements I have heard on this board before.

"If you are against the war in Iraq that may mean you're a terrorist."

Judges do not control the pairings; all pairs are randomly made

The point being is that the majority shouldn't be punished for the minority that is too lazy or stupid to get some form of a backup. Even 98'ers should get with the program and update to the 21st century.

Does it make someone lazy or stupid if they prefer paying their rent rather than buying a computer upgrade to play in an online game league?
or the case as im sure is most common among players here: ie, they live with their parents, are in high/junior high school with $0 income.
"Hey mom can you buy a $400 piece of software so i can play this game?"

The poll for this is stupid as hell...outside that. I gave the perfect answer to this question in another thread.

unfortunetly Hamachi just doesn't work for at least 10% of the league, and theres nothing to be done except find yet another program(Good luck)

Honestly, its my opinion that complaining here does nothing, you get flamed, start an idiotic flame war with the idiot and the topic gets locked.
You want it to change? Make it change: find a new program and tell someone or just post somthing on the forums along the lines: HAHA THIS PROG ENDS FLIPS. It will be seen and guys like laplie and Wildcard will look it up and if its good its stays. There are dozen of progs unfound out there and alot of em are freeware.

Fact is, if someone doesn't have backups its mostly cause they can't have em, whether MWS breaks on them(like me) or they can't use hamachi. So we can't cut them out.

How to change the rules...
1: Get 3 friends.
2: All 4 of you enter a trial.
3: Message every opponent with "Have apprentice can't host".
4: When they are like niether can I say "I can't run Hamachi or MWS".
5: Flip.
6: Repeat.
7: At end of trial when one of you is in top 3 on the decklist page comment "LOL I flipped all but one of my matches", or equally true but outragous comment.
8: Wait for backlash.

Won't change shit. For one, you expect all of them to win through flips...

Secondly, its been done. People have won trials from flipping all but one match. And nothing gets done.

Again, stick with what I said. You want somthing done, get off your lazy ass and do it yourself.

ofc u cant deny ppl with no hamachi/mws that cant host playing in trials, but I think it is fair to give the win to the person that has backup programs. I usually play MTG only on my old PC that is win98, 350Mhz 128RAM, and I have no problem running MWS..

Anyway, I dont really give a **** about this cuz I can host..
