I think the midgets can probably surround it. I think like 8-10 midgets can grab the lion's wrinkly skin and try to bite through it. Early in the fight, the lion's eyes will get poked, maybe multiple times, and a midget will probably try to straddle its neck and plug its nose with two fingers. I expect that at any given time, one midget will be pummelling the lion's nuts. The lion might puke at some point. and yes, the lion would definitely get extremely tired before it got to number 40.
Can midgets finish off an exhausted lion with broken nuts and gouged eyes (and possibly even had his claws pulled out, but probably not)? I think they maybe can, if they like punch it in the ribs all day long, or scratch its throat with their midget nails or something, I dunno.
... it would be a great fight. |

| I think comparing the mass of the two would show the odds better. The midgets would have like 10 times weight. They could pretty much just swamp the thing. I think the lion would end up choking on a midgets in the end... |

You underestimate the basic instinces of human nature. Yes, true the lion is gonna kick ass, but 2 midgets with spears could kill a fucking lion, 40 midgets without spears could too.
For one, just cause their midgets doesn't mean their not still smart, even one of those midgets are smarter the the lion whos brain resembles a hotdog.
Secondly, theres fucking 40 of em, as the lion was chewing one them, 30 of em pile on his fucking back...I don't care how fucking big the lion is...hes going fucking down. once hes on the ground rolling, obv to get the 30 midgets off his fucking back(this process kills around 15 midgets) the leftover 9 start attacking the weak point he fucking left open from rolling. Throat, balls, eyes, etc. And have you seen midget soccer? Midgets can fucking kick...they don't need weapons if their stomping his ass...so now the lions got a whole mess of midgets all over him preventing him from even rolling off his back...in the long run I see 31 midget casualties and 1 lion casualty
Midgets would win though, hands down. |

jsut wanted 2 add that the situation iss biased towrads th lion, sinse it asumes perfect deter mination on the lion part, but leavs the midgs vulnerable 2 it .
anyway i stilll think 40 midgs hold quite a chance |

Think of the midgets as hyenas without teeth, quick legs, or hooves which to bat at the lion with. And the lion, in this example, is not going to become suddenly un-agitated somewhere through the fight. It's pissed at every single one of those little bastards, and it's going to kill all of them.
Really, Craze, would you risk your life to punch and kick at the thick fur of a lion when there are 39 others in front of you that are perfectly sacrificable as long as you live for the next ten seconds? You're going to be scared shitless either way. No way you fly in all kamikaze on the lion and ninja his ass. No way the midgets do it either, when the lion is able to fit three midgets heads in his mouth in the first place.

| I think people are missing the fact that lions aren't that smart, and this one is hungry. It would start to eat the first midget that got close to it, and while it was eating that, the other midgetrs would kill it. Now, if the lion was smart, obviously it would win, because it wouldn't waste time eating, it would just slash any midgets that got close to it. |

| Lion FTW. The lion wouldnt stop to take a snack break while fighting the midgets. Also, if youre comparing weight, there is no way that all the midgets could fit on that lion. He'd have killed at least a dozen before the rest of the midgets got close, and if they tried to pile up on him they would crush and suffocate each other before being able to pin him down. |

| I vote midgets, assuming they are willing to think a second. The problem with previous analyses is that they assume lion will just attack attack attack. But lions kill to eat, and to eliminate threats. If the 40 midgets just refuse to attack the lion, it is unlikely that it would systematically kill all of them. Especially if each one independently put up a fight, the lion would eventually get tired/bored/full, and stop attacking. If the midgets can then wait, and attack while lion is sleeping, I think that with coordination they could each attack the squishy bits (eyes, nose, naughty parts, etc.) such that lion would be injured and unable to effectively counter attack. I bet at least 10 would survive the battle. Also, remember that once some midgets are dead, weapons may become available in the form of sharpened/broken bones. |

| Midgets are 0/1 creatures and for the most part Lions are 2/1 creatures. Assuming the Lion attacks every turn, the Midgets will die in 20-40 turns. Funny how a 1/1 squirrel can simply kill the 40 midgets as well and then kill the Lion in suicidal blaze of glory........... |
