over last week, i rember being told that tonights trial was for players UNDER 1700 points, and it was on the calendar as that.

Why was it changed, cause i think it would be nice to give the newer players, or players in a slump(like me) a chance to compeat to raise our points to play with the rest of the league

I don't really care if they make 1700- trials even though i am in dat category. Wats annoying when the 1700+ trials are at like 7:00pm and the regualr is at 1:00pm many people have school/work

The reasoning behind it is that rewarding bad players is, well, a bad idea.

No, there is no reason for it.

For one, Streakz you just ascended to an instant idiot, just cause a player is less then 1700, doesn't mean their bad. Hell anything 1600 up means your decent in ratings, secondly this league DOES NOT discriminate players by their rating.

In fact, by making it 1700+ its fucking over more players, hell every god damn mini 1700+ is fucking over more players....even the ones +1700, how you ask?
3 Reasons...

1. Your cutting a large amount of non-judge players out of the potential chance of getting minis. Meaning your entire team better be +1700 in personnal rating: You saying "Well duh, they are" Maybe so, but keep reading.

2. Your helping literally cut the mini rate, people complain about the lack of minis nowadays as it is, so why don't we fuck half the league over and the few minis we do run, lets run +1700. This of course also makes it harder to get 1700+

3. A mini and or trial like this is done in order to get more points per average win, thus its very appealing to players. And since 9 out of 10 of our judges care nothing about anyone else, its more likely to attract them. Do the math: If a no max +1700 starts and all the tcs enter, but you a 1700+ player misses it barely, how you gonna get a mini? Answer: Your not.

This +1700 crap shouldn't be allowed

having a low rating doesnt mean you're a bad player, it could, but it can also mean that you just started or that you dont play much, some ppl have really rating , why? not cause they are good, only cause they have no life (not all tho)..

Im almost to 1800 in constructed, 1700 in limited and decent in my other two categories and Ive been active on this account for a little more than 3 weeks now. It is not hard at all to get to 1700 in about a day or two. That said, people here a day or two, sadely, may have to miss a 1700+ trial because they are new. To bad. Life sucks. No one's life is perfect and you can't have everything your way all the time. Suck it in and deal with it. Thanks.

I got another reason as to why +1700 minis are bullshit...

SITE ERRORS

If this has happened to you, you know that it can take a while to fix. If it hasn't allow me to give an example: When ratings get fucked up by a cheater or a bad judge, Admins must go into the site and fix it. This causes a series of afterwaves. If you get hit, your rating can go up or down a good 100 points or even more. A 1790 can turn to a 1690 cutting you 10 points shorter for the trial, so why not just earn your points back in time? Well, what if you don't notice till the trial starts? Or what if your luck fucks up and you mull to 4 each game lowering your rating more?

It happens, life goes on? Hell no, thats bullshit. +1700 minis/trials should not be allowed

You see this is why im Anti-Homosexualit, due to the fack that people of said "choice" run these due to the smaller amout of players for 1700 rating, see i could have that but i get screwed every game due to some fucking reason...in short everything Craze the hater said i agree with completly (changes into hot chick flashes boobs, turns back into guy runs away)

Chill out with Streakz. He presents a good point. If you don't have the rating it takes to get into the tournament you want to get into and are given the same, fair opportunity to earn it, then do the work. Stop bitching about things not being fair when there are tournaments set up for those who succeed; they earned it, they succeeded.

There is nothing unfair about this process. Good players are rewarded with tournaments against other good players (the reasoning behind this being a more predictable meta-game etc...). It obviously benefits the many great players that this site harbors including Streakz, who has seemed to have assumed the voice of the better players who like things the way they are. Instead of coming up with all these excuses for not making the cut, look at how the players who qualify do it and try to adapt accordingly.

Stop trying to make waves. Go with the flow. Magic is fun. Use this great opportunity to get better.
