Genesis appears to be somewhat of a dead spot, with no way to reliably get it into the graveyard. Added to the fact that Eternal Witness is extremely abusable with Astral Slide, and you lack a need for it.
Rather than a toolbox sideboard, I've found Pyroclasm to be working much better in the Living Wish slot. You don't have an answer for Nimble Mongoose or a quick Goblin Lackey aside from Wrath of God, which I fear is sorely overcosted for a mana-hungry deck such as this one. Pyroclasm gets done everything that Wrath of God does; the only potentially weak aggro matchup for Pyroclasm might be the 'Zilla Stompy (RG) aggro deck, which you're quick enough to begin 2-for-1'ing creatures with Lightning Rift and Pyroclasm anyways.
I feel this deck is extremely powerful for the current environment. The reason I feel your build is inferior, through my own experience, is the lack of Solitary Confinement. Since you can amply support it with Life from the Loam, there'd be little sense in playing a Wish-sideboard or in playing Wrath of God. |
