Then play a real format. Once again you haven't played a contructed mini in over 10 days. To recap for any judges who might see this. People who play lots of minis and have posted so far seem to be in favor of BYOX. The people who average 1 Constructed mini each in the past week are against. Rolling Eyes

You have played in 3 Standard Minis in the last 10 days. The only mini I see from COOLBOY in the last week is 1 Legacy tourney (I didn't check Limited or Other). Either you guys have 2 accounts (which is against the rules) or you don't play in minis often. All the people who want the BYOX minis on the other hand ACTUALLY PLAY IN MINIS, what a novel concept. Let the people who actually play in minis dictate the formats because that would make a lot more sense.

I do play in minis.

You wanna know why I've played in so few T2 minis? It's because they are becoming more rare, and the ones that pop up (i know there are still PLENTY), fill extremely fast, faster than before, because there are less.

howcome that if so many people think these formats are 'fun' that those mini's fill up the slowest, and that there is almost no minibegging for them, while 't2' and 'minibeg' are the most frequently used words in the chat?

As a counterpoint, I play in loads of minis and I really dislike the byoX format. I'd much rather play the real current formats (t1, t1.5, t1.x and especially t2) than the made up byo whatever stuff. (:

After the Master it will go back to the 10000 T2 minis a day thing I'm sure. Just let us have some fun for now. On a related note there are still like 5000 T2, Legacy, and Draft minis a day. If you are having trouble finding a T2 mini you must not sit in the channel for more then like 30 mins. at a time because during prime time there seems to be 2-3 an hour at least. Also I have seen many BYOT2 and Block Party minibegs recently.

I don't agree with alot of things COOLBOY said, but this really sounds fun to me. People should really think about this.

Use common sense. If you didn't know what he meant...

He meant to take 3 different sets from 3 different blocks and make a seal out of it more often.

Despite the fact that I agree with many of the posts on here about making your own deck, I agree with COOLBOY.

What did it have to do with making your own decks? It had nothing to do with it. You can easily rip a deck off of a winner of one of the tournaments here. There are decks that are netdecks that can be made like that. It has nothing to do with the request.

I do find them annoying, because I want to test my decks. The constant stream of standards was very good.

Yeah, sure, you can netdeck all you want. But the netdecks that you get will usually just be rogue decks anyway. The formats require a lot more deckbuilding and strategy than a simple T2 tournament where the top archetypes are already defined and used by millions of people everywhere.

I like playing T2 and the like formats as much as the next guy, but they do get old after awhile and i change is nice. If you don't like the minis that the judges make, make your own. If you can't make your own, pass the test. If you can't pass the test then be happy with what you're given. The people that are making minis for you spoiled, ungrateful people don't get paid for it. They volunteer to do so and you should be happy.

I think that pretty much sums it up. Be happy with what you're given. You're lucky you're getting that for the price that you're paying.

I play limited mostly but I dont sit and wait for hours at a time for one to start. If I log in and one is running I jion. Lately everytime I've logged in its been tons of "BYOX" tournies, hence, this thread.

They usually fill up faster then the Ext. or T1 minis I see (with the possible exception of those hosted on MWS since most people have to port the decks over to MWS from Apprentice and many people just dislike MWS).

there is a core of people who play t2 minis all day long, cos its the best way on the site to test out decks, and this core hasnt decreased. but the number of t2 minis has, making it harder to test out decks, and more people are unsatisfied. i just want moderation, 2-3 BYOX tourneys at the same time in peak time is ALOT.

Most of the people making BYOX minis have been making 2-3 T2 minis a night for months. 'Nough said.
