Yeah lets just go back to having 95% T2 minis that wasn't getting boring. /sarcasm
COOLBOY you don't even play Other formats, live a little. BYO formats are hella fun if you can handle not ripping pro tour lists all day long.

Watch out man the "playing good decks is the DEVIL!" or the "OMG You didn't design that deck, your CHEATING!" or "the OMG make your own deckers" are gonna tear that post up...

I get on for a couple hours a day, I believe that's enough to comment on the situation. I dont think I was rude at all, I mean, "BYOT2" it just sounds retarded. Most newbs playing prolly wont even be able to judge for themselves whether or not a deck is legal. Mebbe we could run a "BYOBsealed", there's this random assortment of cards from masques block I've been dying to try out versus another random sealed block to prove once and for all which was the best block in limited.

Where does it end.

basically what you want is that we make the minis you like. Well you're welcome to pass the test (if you're elegible) and make the whatever minis you feel like. Try out the "other" ranting minis. you'll like them they are very fun, and this is not about net-decking or not 90% of the decks on BYOT2 where netdecks, BTW this are not for newbies.

Coolboy... btw you're not the only person that plays here on M-L. Other people are perfectly happy with the new formats that are popping up. It's a challenge... which is a really nice switch from the same old T2, T1, T2, T2, T1.5 tournaments that require nothing but a small knowledge of Magic and the ability to netdeck. Aye, some people make their own decks... but not many. And they don't frequent the #1 or #2 positions. BYOT2, BYOB, Tribal, etc. are good ways to challenge yourself to real deckbuilding, testing, and gives those of us who like to use their own decks a chance to use them successfully.

kthx

Despite the fact that I agree with many of the posts on here about making your own deck, I agree with COOLBOY.

What did it have to do with making your own decks? It had nothing to do with it. You can easily rip a deck off of a winner of one of the tournaments here. There are decks that are netdecks that can be made like that. It has nothing to do with the request.

I do find them annoying, because I want to test my decks. The constant stream of standards was very good.

in almost all cases. a player with a high "other" rating it's a good all around player, it's an excellent parameter because you need to build, understand and know the deck you're playing.

that's why i said "other" minis are not for new players.

why do people keep saying BYOX tournies are challenges? all that anyone does for them is just go to mtg.com and netdeck a deck that won from a tournament from that format

You have played in 3 Standard Minis in the last 10 days. The only mini I see from COOLBOY in the last week is 1 Legacy tourney (I didn't check Limited or Other). Either you guys have 2 accounts (which is against the rules) or you don't play in minis often. All the people who want the BYOX minis on the other hand ACTUALLY PLAY IN MINIS, what a novel concept. Let the people who actually play in minis dictate the formats because that would make a lot more sense.

I agree, they're lame, I'd much rather play a real format.
