running a mini draft is a real pain in the ass. it is really rare to find any, altough im sure it is the most requested format in here. the reason is, people sign up for the draft and just dont show up. since you cannot run the draft with less than 8 guys, you have to start looking for a replacer. itgets worse when there are 2 or 3 guys missing. today 3 guys were missing, we waited for15mins before I had to close mini. there are 2 things that m-l staff must do, in order to make mini drafts fun:
1. the technical issue - give TC's a way to kick guys from mini and let others sign in.
2. peneltizing - there should be a serious penalty for not showing for a mini draft. for starters, there should be SOME KIND of penalty. this place is lacking serious penalty system as it is. I think that ruining an intire mini is a good excuse for banning, or at least getting the guy's name into the system so in case he is a serial draft wrecker he will get banned.
we are tired of waiting 15mins for every mini draft to actually start.

1. j2's can replace people in minis with others
2. i don't want to make a law here but i'd suggest to
enter them to the penalty database and in case of regular draft-wrecking, autokick them from the draft channel

I didn't make it to a draft in a draft mini yesterday, but I don't make a habit of it. I was having problems with my mIRC chat being laggy and then my whole computer froze. Later that night, after it started working again for like an hour and a half it crashed completely. This isn't something new... my comp likes to randomly die and then I have to reformat and run the installation disks that came with the computer.

Well, back to the point. If I would've gotten some kind of penalty for a technical issue it wouldn't have been really fair. I propose that, like Flippi said, people who regularly wreck drafts should be punished.

The worse offenders are people who join draft minis and THEN ask "how do I draft?"

Here's the thing. If you don't know how to play in a mini, DON'T JOIN THE MINI. It's a pain to everyone.
