Jitte is pronounced jeet-teh. However, the jee is not as strong as in jeep. It is between jeep and gypsy.

| "Jitte" is pronounced 'jeet-tay.' in japanese there is a glottal stop between double consonants. |

Yes it is, or it is close enough that it doesnt matter.
If you're speaking quickly (colloquial normal speed)
yosei - yo-say
kokusho - coke-sho (slowly = ko kuu show) |

| There is no need to quibble over exact pronounciation. Tay is the closes English has for Te, although "Teh" is effectievly the same sound. |
