|
|
EDIT -- Please use specific titles - Vacancy
I've been working on a new deck based around Ink-Treader Nephilim.
Basically you have the Nephilim in play, play Natural Affinity, then Threaten on the Nephilim to gain control of all the lands and swing for the win.
There is another combo within the deck I have been working on actually playing, it involves splicing Glacial Ray onto Kodama's Reach to grab all your land and essentially Pyroclasm the board.
Alternate win conditions are Vinelasher Kudzu, some sort of direct damage, Natural Affinity (because it rocks), or Meloku.
So here's the current decklist
Creatures: (14)
4x Ink-Treader Nephilim
4x STE
4x Vinelasher Kudzu
2x Meloku
Spells: (26)
3x Electrolyze
3x Natural Affinity
3x Threaten
2x Kodama's Might
1x Blind With Anger
3x Faith's Fetters
4x Glacial Ray
4x Kodama's Reach
3x Lightning Helix
Land: (20)
10x Forest
4x Mountain
4x Plains
2x Island
SB: (15)
1x Threaten
3x Supression Field
4x Naturalize
3x Ivory Mask
4x Carven Caryatid
I don't run duals because that would for one be way too costly and I don't want to be wrecked by Blood Moon.
I also thought about running Tops, but there arn't enough shuffle cards to really make that work well. But it can grab pieces quicker, so it's up in the air.
Currently it works alright against WW and MUC. However Zoo and other Aggro decks I don't know about because online most people don't play outside of B/W discard/control that I have experienced.
If anyone wants to test it out go for it, I don't think it's currently FNM winning material, but that's what it's here for.
Any input is appreciated, thanks. |

Yes I do realise that.
That's how the splicing and every other spell in the deck make it better.
Threaten on the Nephilim will get all the creatures.
Electrolyze, only when both damage points target Nephilim will target all other creatures to allow for more drawing. The damage is locked in in that reguard.
Lightning Helix will kill the Nephilim, but if I need to clear the board or gain tons of life that's an option.
Same for the Kodama's Reach spliced with Glacial Ray or Kodama's Might. |

r u just stupid?
he uses nat affinity
then he threatens the nephilim since nephilim is the only creature bein targeted every other viable target is then targeted so he gets every creature on the board |

Threaten + Giant Growth or any other pump spell would only work if they ran a creature intensive deck.
If you added Giant Growth to the Nat Aff/Threaten combo that is just going to overkill. |

I like the whole token idea...use the rainbow land to make tokens for them, then electrolyze to fill your hand and rape them, and hit the opponent all at once. |

if your going to use natural affinity and threaten to take their land, why not run something like nantuko husk and sac all of thier land? one sided armageddon, if the husk doesn't kill them.
That seems like fun, anyway |

Because if I can go combo in one turn, i.e. Natural affinity and Threaten, sacking their land won't do anything because when I control all their land I will be able to, in almost every case, swing ftw. And even if for some reason I can't do enough damage, I can always Electrolyze or Lightning Helix the Nephilim for life or cards.
IMO the husk is something that will take up space, which is something this deck needs
I also refuse to run Black because that would alot for a whole slew of other things possible in the deck, not to mention the added complexity of a 5 color deck without duals. |

Another deck change
-3x Faith's Fetters
+3x Blood Moon
-1x Plains
+1x Island
-2x Forest
+2x Stomping Ground
Taking out the Fetters changes up the mana curve and almost makes it largely a RGuw deck.
Blood Moon wrecks everything, especially all the dual intensive decks online. |
