I just though u guys would like to know that draft UB mill in Rav-Rav-Rav is COMPLETELY VIABLE. The other day i drafted a 12 mana tournie with a bunch of avid magic playing friends and I went UB mill for fun. We played everyone 2 out of 3. I beat 9 other decks, only losing for 2 matches who got 1st and 2nd(3rd place me). The guy who won had a freaked deck, he had 3 copies of swiftblades, 3 copies of trumpiter, 3 of the 3 mana flying hasters, a sunforger, AND a couple lightning helix. which was defiantly the best draft deck i have ever seen in my life.
i would definatly recommend if u get a chance to play UB mill to give it a shot, its a hoot. Heres a list of card you HAVE to draft:
Vedalken Entrancer - The card that makes the deck, get all you can. 1/4 body mills 2 cards a turn.
Tidewater Minion - 4/4 for 5. that assists on mill!
Dimir House Guard - Transmutes for your workhorse
Induce Paranoia - universal counter AND MILL!
Lurking Informant - totally controls opponents draws, and mills
AS much Black spot removal you can find, it allow you to stall for the rounds need to deck:
Brainspoil - transumte, creature kill, amazing card
Clinging Darkness - turns every creature into a 0 power
Disembowel - great kill card
Drift of Phantasms - great wall
Last Gasp - the best spot removal in draft
Stinkweed Imp - kills alost anything in a trade, great card
THESE ARE ALL COMMONS! you will see them all. Draft them and be amazing @ the power of UB mill. Nothing is more satisfying the geting 3rd place in a 12 man draft turnnie with out every dealing a single point of damage. Good luck any have fun!!!
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY FOR RAV RAV RAV DRAFTS |

... k. Is this supposed to be joking on the owl thread?
"Hey guys, I know you all think the owl deck is a pile, but I won FNM with it."
"Hey guys, I'm here to say that I just learned in March that U/B mill is viable in triple rav!"
Or did you seriously just figure that out? |

| I drafted something almost identical to this THE DAY RAV CAME OUT! Yes it WAS once viable, but you can't very well mill with Rav-Rav-Gpt, so this info serves no purpose to anyone. Thanks for not posting this 4 months ago, a$$hole. |

Mill is totally viable in this format, but you can't force it the way you could in RRR. Entrancers and Tidewaters still kill the opponent, Informants still lock the opponent out, Drift is still a fat-butt blocker and all of them work in either U/B/x or U/R/x. You can get a lot of mileage out of milling while you Chronarch/Peel your opponent out of the game.
FWIW. |

Millstone has been a pretty good pick in core set draft, etc.. If you played a U/x/x deck, Vedalken Entrancer obv makes the cut, even as the only mill card. Draft more mill, that's better. Yeah it's viable. But...
Russel_Nash, did you seriously just figure this out. That's the only important discussion topic in this thread imo. |
