Hmm, well think of cards good to fight blue/red that doesn't hurt you in the process. Shattering spree for one would be nice, to get rid of their ebony owls for R, or howlings. That's pretty much all I can suggest, since it replicates it makes it MUCH harder to wipe it out, plus it's VERY cheap.

owl vs owl.

the cards to play: Ivory Crane Netsuke & Shattering Spree. PERIOD. both card negate other owl, PLUS crane gains u life.

maybe if your hardcore an effective creature, red probably? like Giant Solifuge, or something else, im sure those other 2 will be fine though.

Solifuge would RAPE owl, 4 damage a turn. Especially in a mirror. It rapes control in general, too much of a win more card. I am not liking it.

Unforchatly the best sideboard card in this matchup is one with nothing. And i think that so many players are going to think im crazy, but think about it. around the fourth or fith turn both you and your opponite are set up u have about 8 cards at the end of his turn looking at drawing 3 or four cards next turn. You hit him with a sudden impact. which taps you at except for 1 mana. he then shoots you back with his impact. resp one with nothing. you take 0 for impact, owl on your turn and you still get to draw 3 or four cards. With you still playing cards you can slide under his owles for 2-3 turns which in all probability will win you the game.

I feel so dumb. I played this deck back when ravnica first came out. MUCH BEFORE anyone else. but i took it apart after 7 people at my shop started to play it also. Darn jerks.

So back the the last post. I used to play adamaro, but with out trample it just isnt good enough. Soaramo first to dream is a little better and meloku is too. meloku+ivory crane=mirror tech

my board for this deck was
3 bloodmoon
1 evacuation(2 main)
3 spiraling embers
1 pyroclasm (3 main)
4 evory crane netsuke
3 threads of disloyalty

i scrapped the deck after like 6 tourneys and i found that for the mirror that only embers and the crane are useful.

twincast would work just as well....
but so does a mulligan.
