| firemane stabalizes your life and its ok for him to die e can always come back unless he is erradicated or killed with yamabushi's flame and most of the times you want him to take that damage.yosei dont stabalizes nothing he gives you a turn nothing more he is a time walk with legs. |

ok, first of all... why not just post this in the WUR forumn... i mean i did start it and it has like 100+replies, so its obv fresh and popular. if you think firemane costs too much... OF COURSE IT DOES. guess what, this deck goes to late game. WAY late game. ive had so many games where the life gain wins it, or where they have an answer to all my win conditions... ok they will run out of answers cause i can recur it every turn. people are saying how its so hard to protect it... yes it is. but the thing about it is that you dont have to protect it, it protects itself. for the most part by the time you are getting angel recursion your opponent is reduced to topdecking. if they have a full hand then you probably shouldnt be going in for the kill anywase.
yosei imo is terrible for this deck. so what if you get a turn, your playing draw go. it gives you nothing. the deck does not run enough threats that you will get both yosei and another.
meloku is meh. a lot of times it is just not needed. i run one copy cause of my fear of extraction. i side it out vs aggro(yes i know it suppose to beat aggro, i already do that and pyroclasm/remand does more)
if you really start testing this deck, you will learn that the angel is the centerpiece to the deck winning. he is MVP of the deck.
for those wondering, or caring, or w/e.. here is my creature base (blinking spirit is bad, it chumps but wont trade most likely)
2 firemane angel
1 meloku
1 niv-mizzet
1 shard phoenix
at FNM ive played it to a 4-0 victory 2 weeks in a row, playing all aggro/combo decks. |

1 life per turn is hardly stabilizing, especially when you compare it to meloku, but we are arguing the same points.
Shard phoenix doesnt kill as much as it did when ravnica first came out, and the RRR commitment is so hard to make when your playing 3 color control
