How people can play Magic and not know about these things is beyond me. Same thing with Magic players and card names.

Emperor Format

Emperor is a multiplayer game where you have 2 oposing "Emperors". On each side you have x generals (usually blanced to the left and right of him). The idea is to take out the emperor, but the emperor can not be swung at (and in some version the target of spells/abilities) until you take out all the generals on one side of him. The emperor can give any of his permanents to any of his generals and can target any other play except the oposing emperor with spells/ablities. So usually you end up with the slow juggernaut decks as emperor and the little speed decks, control decks, or defensive decks as generals.

As for decks... Its more of team composition that should determin what your deck is. If you have at least one control deck the emperor should either try for massive beat or massive combo. Though I really think that the introduction of the Spike-o-matic deck is going to hurt the format. If the emperor can be targetted then that deck wont work. Elsewise he can just sit and search through his deck for the parts he needs.

Good Emperor decks would include something like Double season/twilight drover or hearbeat/maga. Any of your cards will work EXCEPT howling mine. That will just speed the other emperor to no end. My personal favorite though was a regular zubera deck... They can become incredibly beastly emperors.
