RG LD doesnt have many more land destruction spells in T2 than RU LD. The only playable *cough cough* RG LD spell is Wreak Havoc. Otherwise there is rolling spoil, creeping mold and Feast of Worms, which r all overcosted for wat they do.

As it has been mentioned, U/R has mana leak and eyes for board control, Tidings and Compulsive Research for reloading those spells and finding better cards for the moment.

R/G Land Kill doesn't really have a better size up rather than having more creature control with the direct damage, a few more creatures which take longer to kill with, some more over-costed land kill spells, et al.

Given this info, it's pretty apparent that U/R is a better option than R/G when landkill decks are the objective. Mostly because they have more variety to what you can do and it has way to refill your hand after you're toasted their lands and have maybe 3 cards in hand. It just seems to be a much more stable deck as well. It doesn't need the mana accel that R/G provides. You can still only turn 2 land kill, or I can turn 2 boomerang it back to your hand. Both have completed the objective of removing a land from your play area.

I vote RUG...

Wink

Mana accel, you get countering, you get Annex, you get Stone Rain, you get Creeping Mold (underrated), etc. etc.

If you go all three though, you diminish the overall effectiveness as a whole (my opinion). Sure you have more options, but you spread yourself out among them a little too much, thus hampering the deck's ability to work efficiently.

I know this is really stupid and irrelevent, but has anyone considered Caustic Rain? You easily get rid of Ghazi and they cant get it back via Reclaim or Recollect. Just a random comment because I know it is off color and the only black LD spell(apart from Befoul).

U/R LD really relys on the magnivore. G/R LD has many creatures and not much control. That being said, I have to say U/R by a long shot. You cannot compete in this format without enough control right now, there are many tier 1 decks rather then like mirrodin when we had TNT and ravager and that's it. Now there are many diffrent decks you have to worry about and G/R is just to vulnerable.

The turn two Eye of Nowhere followed by a t3 Stone Rain is much better then a turn-two Stone Rain accelerated by a Bird or Elf, the tempo seems better, plus UR isn't as vulnerable to Wrath.

Well, this is my deck so far:
24
6 island
1 minamo
12 mountain
1 shinka
4 steamworks

5
4 magnivore
1 keiga

31
3 wildfire
4 volcanic hammer
4 demolish
4 stone rain
4 sleight of hand
4 pyroclasm
4 compulsive research
4 mana leak

NO SB!!!!
I really want eye of nowere, but i can`t move anthing. I`d like more creatures too. At least 6-8.

Also, should i play this, or rdw? Maggy hasn`t won i a while, and i dunno if it was played mutch in tornys, or if they played against each other.
