Ok. We tried a tournament a few nights ago, and although I lost in the first round, it was fun. So, in turn, I decided to go ahead and try and popularize it. Here is all of the information you need for a tribal deck.
#TRIBAL is where you can find games and tournaments
RULES
1- Decks must be at least 60 cards.
2- Sideboards are NOT allowed. If a deck has a sideboard, please remove it before joining a tourney.
3- Zombie, Goblin, and Elf based decks are banned for the simple fact that they are good OUT of tribal format. Let alone them playing in such a restricted format.
4- Examples of some creature types are birds, dwarves, clerics, angels, thrulls, rats, spirits, cats, walls, vampires, soldiers, humans, beats, moonfolk, specters, horrors, minions, shamans, kavu, giants, dragons, drakes, beasts, samurai, trolls, mystics, snakes, monks, insects, slivers, bringers, zubera, and wizards.
5- Decks must fit stated format!!
6 You can have multiple colors.
7- Decks must have at least 1/3 of a certain creature type. This number is always rounded up. We'll use clerics for example. If you have a deck of 60 cards, your deck has to have at least 20 clerics. If your deck has anywhere from 60-63 cards, you must have at least 21 clerics.
BAN LIST
Unnatural Selection
Engineered Plague
Tsabo's Decree
Circle of Solace
Endemic Plague
Peer Pressure
Skullclamp
Extinction
Slate of Ancestry
Artificial Evolution
Umezawa's Jitte
Your deck can not have Elves, Zombies, or Goblins as the main creature type.
Please reply with any suggestions for more banned cards.

| You should realize rules 3, 7, and 10 are beyond your command, since you aren't a judge. |

love the idea but i think that there are a couple decks that would just rock the format. onslaught soldiers comes to mind and i think my extended wizards are already legal, and that thing has won ext minis...
just for the hell of it, tis is the best deck ever in that format i think.
22 Island
2 Chrome Mox
4 Hapless Researcher
4 Voidmage Prodigy
4 Daring Apprentice
4 Patron Wizard
4 Cephalid Constable
2 Temporal Adept
2 Puppeteer
4 Boomerang
4 Counterspell
2 Isochron Scepter
2 Future Sight |

Yeah I realize that and it's now fixed. Thank you.
Coldbeer thx for your decklist but I have something else in mind. And basically, pretty much all of onslaught is gonna rock this format. |

I personally think tribal should always be legacy becuase it allows for more of a choice when picking your creature type slivers etc. and as for rule # 3 in the last 2 tribals my friend kilomitro ran. goblins lost to beasts in the first round and elves/staff combo (which was very good i might add lost to my version of counter sliver in the first round as well slivers wound up making it to semis and angels played beasts in the finals (Angels wound up winning played by the tc kilomitro Go Junkies!!!) I can understand banning such cards as extinction and skullclamp but i feel the banning of zombies, elves, and goblins are just unwarranted just mho. I'll talk to you about it later pyro in pm btw this is one of the most fun (other) formats we should have one everyday or at least more often and around the same time |

This makes no sence, Zombies and elves suck anyway. And if thier is no goblins I think shamans will totaly dominate the format.
Mabye keep goblins in and just ban lacky or somthing |

sry i didnt post it sooner but me and pyro were thinking if we get enough requests that rule #3 will be void which would allow zombies elves and goblins to be played in tribal so everybody just say in ur post whether or not u would like to have zombies elves and goblins allowed and also how the hell is everyone asking for tribal to be played extended only if its only extended we wont be allowed to play such archetypes as angels slivers thrulls shapeshifters cuz of the lack of good creatures in such a limited format so i just think we should have more people voting for legacy Sooooo get those votes in |

I don't see why you'd want that rather than have the Kobold support cards (Taskmaster, Drill Sergeant) just count towards the creature limit.
Makes it a lot more tribal. |

| grah is right but even if u use 4 copies of them there are still only 16 total so i think thats y he wanted to use 7 copies. Come on people start requesting the use of zomies goblins and elvs or u will never be allowed to use them in tribal |

I am opposed to Goblins and Elves in particular but I will also support getting rid of Zombies.
I will not be happy until my Llurgoyf deck is competitive in the environment. |
