IMO if MWS was more reliable for not crashing, more people would use it. Im walled, dont use Hamachi, but I only play Minis. On countless occassions MWS would crash and not be able to go back to the game state.

Most people here are children/teenagers and have no say if their parents buy a new computer. $500 is a lot for a 16 year old. |
Also, most people here are children/teenagers and many opt to lie in order to win. What's keeping me from lying and saying that I have no hamachi/mws, it doesn't work, etc. when I really have both, it will work, and I just don't hit "waiting for call" or call them, just to bs my way into a flip. What's stopping me from lying to get into flips and win? I agree that in a mini, that's viable. Myself, I can not host, and I cannot host with hamachi. Usually, 9/10 times the games go through because someone else hosts with hamachi and it works just fine, but in the last two mini's I've played I've lost to flips because neither of us could connect.
Me, I think further than a mini, you shouldn't be able to flip for win, both parties should just have to forfeit. That would stop ppl from trying to lie. |

| I was playing in the trial yesterday and my opponent claimed hamachi 'did not work' for him, and he didnt have MWS. so we flipped. then he admitted he had MWS but refused to use it. a judge eventually ruled that he had to play on MWS, but he won game 1 then stalled through Game 2 for the win. I later learned that his earlier match was a flip-win, and he got a bye round 3. He was eliminated round 4, I feel this is unfair to those of us who play, and think something should be done. I agree. you cannot force someone to play on another program, but you cant force them to join trials either, so it pans out. IF you want to play, then be willing to. Also, if you refuse to play on MWS that may mean you are BWing... |

| A judge can rule that? Last I heard Koen's policy was that you can never force someone with MWS in an Apprentice mini to use it, when did this change? |

MWS has never crashed on me...
Server has crashed, but you realize there are at least 3 different servers? (use the davey server if MWS crashes) |

| well, a good solution: don't play in Appr minis. if you play in them then expect youll need to flip if you cannot host on apprentice. there is a #Workstation channel. people like to use appr and we allow them to do so. imagine if we were not here. youd be on mwsplay looking for matches finding out that your opponent is a retard or is playing a casual deck. i see the cup at most of the way full. with 200 people on the main channel regularly is better than 30 ppl on a different channel (im not talking where) all playing mws only. i like to have more people. more people = good. more people = better player base. more people = %of experienced people youll face is better. if we had 30 people then GRAH for instance might be the only good vintage player here. but we have more. anyway. laters |

same thing has happened to me in a trial...
i mean especially if you set up a system of back ups.. from hamachi to MWs.. there should not be a penalty toward you for being prepared..
a trial is suppose to be a higher level of competition....
this would be also pretty ridiculous if it happened in a master.. especially since there is a valued prized on the line...
but then again it shouldnt happen in a master because its only MWs.... |
