Hey guys, I wanted to propose a new "Other" format for Magic-League that might be fun called Super Legacy. Basically Super Legacy is Legacy with the following cards unbanned

- Mind's Desire
- Mind Twist
- Bazaar of Baghdad
- Mishra's Workshop
- Survival of the Fittest
- Earthcraft
- Balance (not too sure about this one but I'll let it rock for now)
- Skullclamp
- Goblin Recruiter
- Mana Drain
- Mental Misstep
- Gush
- Fastbond
- Oath of Druids
- Library of Alexandria

Before you think "Omg, combo is broken" keep in mind that most of these cards keep each other in check. For example, Mishra's Workshop / Mental Misstep help keep combo in check, Mana Drain / Bazaar of Baghdad help keep Mishra's Workshop in check, and Bazaar of Baghdad / Skullclamp / Mind Twist help keep Mana Drain in check. I think this can be one of the more fun "Other" formats that we can have because there's a greater degree of longevity and the fact that we can actually play these broken cards in their unrestricted forms without having to play Vintage.

Thoughts / Suggestions anyone? Also, can we get this thread stickied. If any judges would like to support this, please PM me or post here.

The problem is not "OMG combo is broken," it's that no one wants to play a format where a deck that does not play one of these cards, or plays one and doesn't draw it early enough, can't compete with a deck that plays or successfully draws its degenerate card(s).

Legacy is an awesome format because it's at a high power level but still diverse -- this format would be broken and homogenous.

I think it'd be fun to do every once in a while just as a mini or something. Personally, I'd love to play something as explosive as this. I love Legacy after years of playing it I kind of want to dabble into something else that's similar yet very different. I think this fits that niche.

*Also added Gush / Fastbond to unbanned list*

This format has sucked every other time it was proposed, and it still does. Sorry <3

Play Vintage, and don't say you don't wanna play Vintage!

So, in other words, you want to play Type 1.5 (i.e. Legacy before they separated the banned/restricted lists of Type 1.5 and Type 1)? That format had 3 or 4 decks: Mana Drain Control/Combo, Workshop Aggro/Prison, Dragon Combo (which would mercifully not exist in your proposed format), and Oath. Everything else was sub-optimal compared to one of the four major archetypes, and I don't think this format would be much different :/

To be fair, that was before dredge was invented. These days, there would only be one deck in this format worth playing and anyone who did not have 4 leyline of the void in main would die a horrible turn 1 death.
