Czar magic is essentially just sealed, with the condition that the person who wins the mini gets to pick one of the sets currently in the current list and replace it with another. The only catch is that a set can only be placed in the current list once until all sets have been used up.

Current Sets: Fifth Edition, Conflux, Judgement.

jaelinfunk: Out with Zendikar, in with Judgement.

Livermush: Out with Alara Reborn In with 5th

This sounds like a cool idea. Hopefully it will be a little easier to manage than Alphabet magic, but still be fun for people to compete in.

I would not use anything before mirage as they were not designed to be drafted with. I do not know if you have ever tried drafting fallen empires or homelands but its pretty dismal.

yeah they are pretty tough in limited but you can find some gems in them to use. I think the fact some of those only have 8 cards don't help either.
