Because he was originally printed in Mercadian Masques, thus was played with Masticore (T2) and Survival of the Fittest (T1.X)... I understand that you probably aren't that old, but at least look at when the card was in print before you make such silly statements. |

You have two masticores in modern to abuse his ability and still isnt seeing play. Again, I never called him bad in the first place, I am just making him better. |

He was reprinted in 10th, and Molten-Tail Masticore and Fauna Shaman are also Modern legal and extremely close relatives/good replacements for Masticore and Survival and each see play, but Squee still doesn't.
There are far more powerful things to be discarding than Squee that have been printed since, and power creep has rendered it a bad card - which is why when it was reprinted in 10th nobody played it. Just because a card was good in your heyday doesn't mean it's good now, unfortunately. This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way when I tried to make a modern Dralnu du Louvre deck and found out that Teferi is no longer the end-all be-all game-ruiner that it used to be. |

| I never claimed that Squee is playable now. Squee was good after its initial printing. I thought the point of the round was to take a card that never performed and make it good? Maybe I misunderstood the directions... |

Whenever you cast a green spell, each other creature you control gets a +1/+1 counter.
Whenever you cast a black spell, creatures your opponent controls gets a -1/-1 counter.

Lost Pony {R} |Legendary Creature -- Horse| 2/1 Non-dwarf creatures you control have Mountainwalk.
Mythic
*the dwarfes were hungry, but the pony was fast* |
*Dwarves. Minus one point for having a typo. =P

When Desolation Titan comes into play, destroy all creatures you control. If the kicker cost was paid, destroy all other creatures instead.
6/6
base version: desolation giant (http://magiccards.info/ap/en/59.html) |
Desolation Giant was actually sorta playable... It was no Wood Elemental - you sorta just made it more streamlined.

Mycosynth Sphinx 3UUU

All creatures are artifacts in addition to their other types
Whenever an artifact creature you control deals combat damage to a player, put a 1/1 blue Thopter artifact creature token with flying onto the battlefield.

original:
Sharding Sphinx
Artifact Creature — Sphinx 4/4, 4UU (6)

Hm. It is an upgrade.

Remake:
Marble Giant 2W
Creature - Giant (MR)
Creatures with power 3 or greater don't untap during their controllers' untap steps.
T: Tap target creature.
2/3 |
More streamlined, better gameplay impact - but not really giving oomph to a bad card (Marble Titan was usable, sometimes)

U: ~ gets +2/-2 until end of turn.

The wizard became bored again and did not repeat his mistake in creating a bunny mixed with a piranha . This time, he improved it. |
Now this is an upgrade! Kinda disappointed it wasn't a Rabbit.

No flavor text as that would clutter the text box way too much. |

I hate how simple Dopeman made it. It *is* uncanny, how this would easily become a chase card.

Counters remain on Norin the Compleated as it moves into exile and onto the battlefield.
They may have removed most of his humanity, but numerous upgrades have yet to remove his cowardice
2/1 |
This might be the first card that "remembers" itself as it moves through zones. I think the awesome thing about Norin (original) was that it could attack - and then bounce itself.

Clarification for the flavor text: Imagine a Rhox with 2 heads and 4 hands - the other head looks older/wiser (to partially explain the hexproof part). |
