I have often wondered if rancor was reprinted would it see play in Modern? And now that it looks like it is in M13...the answer is...???

IMO yes, it is so deadly-a three of in a nice rock style deck would be hilarious.

What do you all think?

it's been constructed playable in the past, perhaps it will be in the future especially with sword rotating out and hexproof guys all over the place.
I'm looking forward to play bant spirits when mirrodin rotates out, it was good in block, should be viable in the new standard especially if we get some good mana fixing in ravnica 2 and we don't have to worry about undercosted clones dodgning hexproof (hopefully).

Hexproof is already the most annoying mechanic ever. Rancor will not change that.
