Heres my spin on this deck atm needs some tuning

so lets start with

Descendants path

I want to abuse this card in this deck to the fullest Im probally going to b making a RGW shell soon but this is what im testin atm and it seems to be doing decent instead of honor im using mayor and also im playing mentor of the meek for some synergy with path let me know what u think

adding red gives you malcontents which combos nicely and conscripts which allows you to steal crap.....if you go the RWG rout I would suggest having Restoration angels in the deck so that you can really abuse the above two cards.

The red also allows for Brimstone Volley but you play Thalia so that is bad.......maybe a hellrider or two for the mentors.....you would also have the ability to add in Huntmasters which combos well with the Angel.....however i would choose between hellrider and angel since they are both not humans.

Maybe something like this to abuse fiend hunter and cloudshift/restoration angel idk though i like going aggro route u kill them faster this doesnt fare well on paper vrs control but ill keep testing.

I need a better sb but this is the WRG list doing really good kessig malcontents can hit for 4 on 3 alot of the times turn 4 huntmaster and conscripts is the shit Smile

The sideboard looks fairly good this is what I like:

Ratchet bomb, which i would add another

Riders of Gavony is great vs all the tribal decks, humans/delver/spirits/wolves/vamps/zombies

Grafdiggers Cage is great also, you don't have reanimation, search cards or undying, which is great because this take care of Frites/pod/undying

That being said, I don't like leonin (not a human) and is limited to artifacts/enchantments, I don't like Grand Abolisher, because you already can't be countered and you only have 8 non-creatures, and 3 non-humans out of those. It just doesn't make sense.

I am on the fence with Crusader, it is great vs Zombies and Bx control ect, but I don't think it helps past that and you have Riders and Cage for the Zombie match.......I think the remaining of the space in the board should go toward the control matchup

That being said what does control hate to see, early pressure which you have and late burn/continuous pressure late and resilient creatures that can stay on the board. I really don't know what you can actually add here for this....this is a toss up, but Batterskull seems good and also will boost other creatures if it dies.

You need a way to get rid of planeswalkers other than malcontents, so add in some Ob rings

Maybe a garruk, the big one and a small one, You don't have either in the deck and they continuously add creatures to the board.

SB is usually personal preferences which is where the pros differentiate their decks from each other.

All right so Ive taken out huntmasters and restoration angels I added in phyrexian metamorphs they target anything and everything and do even a better job than the angel does atm huntmaster just dies to board sweepers atm i added in paladin because of his ability to win games with champion took a zealous out and switched up my sb hows it look atm btw playtest it idk its on its way to being fine tuned hardest mu is the control obviously which idk but ive taken control of planeswalkers with zealous ftw Smile

champion of lambholt is great against tokens and other aggro decks. however, the bomb is better against tokens and the paladin also does well against aggro decks, that may be the reason for not including him.

my question is why not thalia, at least in SB? a turn later sweeper can make the difference. also, with only 8 non creature spells she does not bother you that much. even gather the townsfolk can go SB and thalia MB. also, with metamorph and malcontents, isn't that enough against planeswalkers? honest question, dunno. maybe use those slots in SB or at least one, garruk's and batterskull's and add 3 thrun SB against control. resilient non killable game winner late game threat.

Thought about adding in champion of lambolt but honest shes to slow in this deck. Thalia is just that slows u down 1 turn id rather keep pressure on control than slow them down 1 turn imo and thalia usually gets hit and for 2 mana id rather have gather the townsfolk and mayor of avorbruck. No its not enough against control im thinking of adding thrun cuz thats probally my best bet against control.

i have a build that has unburial rites + looting + angel of glorys rise to rites the angel to create an alpha strike of massive proportions! Lightning Mauler + Goldnight Commander for hasty pumps. God forbid u have 2 Commanders hit play. making Lambholt a 12/12 haste unblockable is pretty sweet. usually youll hit 2 for lethal alpha out of nowhere. List is sub-optimal as it's my IRL list, but:

4 Pilgrim
3 Path
4 Lightning Mauler
3 Silverblade
3 Goldnight Commander
3 Angel
3 Rites
3 Conscripts

Really, it's for the non-U control decks that are gonna pop up i think. i really like the rites "finishing move" if you will.
