I have just tried this deck out a couple times but so far it has been rather insane. What blue brings to the table is transmute artifact, master transmuter, and arcum (all of which work VERY well together). Please remember that arcum's sacrifice part a) targets a creature and b) is not a cost so you can respond to it and c) even if the creature leaves play (ex: master transmuter) the second part of the ability still activates.

Right now the sb is not at all good and needs better targets, as this is legacy it's nearly impossible to know all of the available artifacts offhand.

So if I could get some help optimizing this deck that would be awesome. It's based off of a stax build and hopes to lock down the opponent and then smash him.

If arcum's ability has no legal targets, it is countered. You don't get to search.

Other than Arcum and Lodestone, it looks like your deck doesn't do anything at all. How do you lock them down with just tangle wire, chalice, and 1 3sphere? The 1-of static orb?

Yeah, your right about arcums abillity, I forgot that whole countered upon resolution thing happening when there are no legal targets. I should have known better then that. I changed up the list a lot. The lockdown is mostly just from tangle wire getting bounced by transmuter while you are using wasteland/spine/sundering titan to tear up their mana while tapping their permanents.

I think u need pithing needles and propagandas in the sb, otherwisw anything playing aether vial is just gonna destroy u, and if u attend smaller events the tribal vial aggro decks are always popular since they're so cheap to build.
