Having creatures attached to things creates some rules weirdness. The easier way to do it would be:

Quote:
Ride - Cost, T: Target non-Mount creature you control gains all abilities of this creature other than Ride and gets +X/+Y, where X is this creature's power and Y is this creature's toughness, for as long as this creature remains tapped. You may choose not to untap this creature during your untap step. Play this ability only when you could play a sorcery.

It's a bit clunky, but it works, and all that would be in the reminder text anyway.

Why not make mounts like this

Dragon Rawr 2RR
Creature - Dragon (Rare)

Flying
RR: Transform Dragon Rawr, then attach it to a creature you control. Activate this ability only if you control another creature.

4/4
--------------------------------------------------
Dragon Mount
Enchantment - Aura

Enchant creature
Enchanted creature gets flying and +4/+4.

RR: Unattach Dragon Mount, then transform it.

@Cloysterd what kind of weirdness, can u make an example?

@Weebles I don't like to make them licyds because of flavour reasons, and also because the mechanic was already used (even tho lycids were meant to be like parasites/symbiotic creatures of some sorts, so in a very different way flavorwise)

Stubborn Elves G

Creature - Elf Uncommon

Tap: Add G to your mana pool

Everlasting (Mana produced from sources with everlasting doesn't empty from your mana pool as steps and phases end.)

"You will remember me. And my home. I will make sure you will never forget." - Everwoods welcoming Inscription.

1/1

Could be used to make a land cycle (rare probably) like:

Purified Forest

Land - Forest Rare

Purified Forest enters the battlefield tapped.

Everlasting

Or used in instants like:

Persistent lands 1G

Until the end of turn lands you control gain Everlasting.

I don't remember the specific problem Wizards cited as the reason they don't do attaching creatures, but it creates some strange combat scenarios, mainly because attaching creatures would be able to attack and block independently of the creature they're attached to. Alternately, if you have them attack/block together you run into the rules quagmire that is Banding. While either scenario "works", both are weird and complicated enough that they aren't going to print anything that does that.

Whirlwind Blademaster X1RR

Creature - Human Berserker (mythic rare)

Multistrike X (This creature deals combat damage X times before creatures with first strike, and also deals both first strike and regular combat damage.)

Whirlwind Blademaster enters the battlefield with X blade counters on it.

The silver dance of blades is as beautiful as it is deadly.

Necronate

Necronate is an activated ability that functions while the card with necronate is in a player's hand.

"Necronate - [cost]" means "[cost], discard this card: You may cast target card from your graveyard with the same converted mana cost as the discarded card this turn."

Give or Take - 2BB

Sorcery (common)

Destroy target creature.

Necronate - 1B

Woodland Animator 2RG

Creature - Human Shaman UC

Ambush - 2RG (When you are attacked, you may cast this for it's ambush cost. If you do, it must block if able this turn. Return it to your hand at end of combat.)

When Woodland Animator comes into play, you may untap target Forest you control. It becomes a 3/3 green Treefolk creature until end of turn.

This looks waaaaay better, actually it is brilliant. Red and flash btw. aren't something you associate with treefolks. Who are well known as some slow veeeery old but sturdy guys made from a stiff organic material known as wood.

Doudax, I hope you know how broken your card is.

Edit: Just play against it. You never attack into 4 open lands anymore ever. The blowout is just ridiculous. And it is reusable infinite number of times.

Yes it is no black lotus or crap like that. Not "broken" in that kind of way.

Just curious, but "broken" in what sense?

^ This. It's an expensive combat trick that has a lot of design space. I personally thinks it's a pretty cool idea. Almost like a reverse Momentary Blink.
