Hey guys. A while back there were quite a few Vintage Rotisserie drafts going on, and I never have tried to do one. However with MWS as a medium I figured this would be as good of a place as any to try to get one started. If anyone is interested we could start one here, using this thread and maybe a google docs to do this.

If people are going to be fairly active, and won't flake out on the matches, I'd like to get 7 other people to do this, if you DON'T know what this is, please read THIS FIRST. Don't say you'll join if you don't know what you're getting into.

Also if we can all schedule a couple times to be on, we can draft more quickly.

Let me know everyone![/url]

"Email draft sounds like torture to me". Quoting one of the dudes from the WOTC article. My guess is that the time limit doesn't allow players to think too far ahead, thus making the format playable. More time and more access to gatherer will result in people gaining a huge edge in a format that is inherently broken. 30 secs and a table full of cards seem the most adequate medium for this.

This seems like a good idea. I would like to take part if a multiplayer compatible program such as OCTGN, OPT, or Cockatrice could be used for the drafting.

gracco: do you realize how this draft works? there is no need for a draft program at all... you just simply pick cards and can't pick the same one twice. very simply process. Why would you ever need a program for this?
Also, I would do this. Just post info about draft rules (how long we get, when we are doing it) and I can give you an absolute answer.

It depends on how you guys want to do it. We could get a time and everyone get into a channel and have some sort of time limit. I've never done one of these before so If anyone has suggestions, let me know.

I have hosted a few PT drafts, so I could do the tracking cards part on google docs. Just depends on what day we would do it on if I can. I think if we had a bot quickly coded to set 1 minute timers, (with !start beginning countdown, etc, we can discuss on IRC) we could use 1 minute per pick (or have it extend based on the pick number). The pick amount and other stuff will need to be set as well.

Being all in one chan at the same time would be good. It accomplishes the same thing as being on a program and is a lot easier to set up properly. Count me in.
