Looking for a little clarification on what happens If grimgrin, corpse-born attacks and targets a royal assassin.
1. Will the assassin die before he can tap and kill grimgrin.
2. Will the grimgrin die before he can kill the assassin.
3. Both die.
4. They both argue Tim Tebow's skill as a QB.

A. Grimgrin's ability goes on the stack targeting Assassin.
B. Each player gets priority; Assassin's controller can activate it.
C. Assassin's ability goes on top of the stack. If neither player does anything else it resolves first, killing Grimgrin.
D. Grimgrin's ability still resolves, killing Assassin.

However, if Grimgrin's controller controls another creature...

C. Assassin's ability goes on top of the stack.
D. Each player gets priority; Grimgrin's controller can use his untap ability.
E. The untap ability goes on top of the stack. It resolves first, untapping Grimgrin.
F. Assassin's ability tries to resolve, but since Grimgrin is no longer tapped it is not a legal target and the ability fizzles.
G. Grimgrin's ability resolves, killing Assassin.
