I have been building this list ever since modern was announced loved this deck when it was type 2 any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

// Lands
4 [M12] Island (3)
5 [ZEN] Forest (1a)
4 [ZEN] Verdant Catacombs
3 [DIS] Ghost Quarter
4 [ZEN] Misty Rainforest
4 [DIS] Breeding Pool

// Creatures
4 [ZEN] Lotus Cobra
3 [DIS] Patagia Viper
4 [CHK] Sakura-Tribe Elder
4 [DIS] Coiling Oracle
3 [CHK] Seshiro the Anointed
4 [SOK] Sakura-Tribe Scout

// Spells
3 [BOK] Sosuke's Summons
4 [RAV] Remand
3 [9E] Coat of Arms
4 [FD] Serum Visions

// Sideboard
SB: 2 [SHM] Kitchen Finks
SB: 3 [DIS] Spell Snare
SB: 3 [BOK] Threads of Disloyalty
SB: 3 [V10] AEther Vial
SB: 4 [M11] Obstinate Baloth

The main idea to the deck is to play a bunch of snakes and lay a coat of arms or seshiro and win. Remand is amazing at protection and also allows me to lay a coat of arms against control decks and helps me gain time vrs aggro based decks the real champ to the deck is summons i had 4x there but dropped to 3 and made room for the serum visions. The deck excels pretty quickly. Test it out first and then comment ty btw should ghost quarter b something else maybe that land that gives green creatures a +1 +1 counter that just came into play idk.

Ponder seems much better than Serum Visions to set up a 2nd turn Coiling Oracle. In fact, just about anything is better than Serum Visions.

I would probably cut out something for a couple of kodama's reach and switch the remands out for mana leak, but otherwise I love this deck idea. Smile

Uhm, it's about snakes, but where is one of the best snakes ever printed, Mystic Snake?

Mystic Snake is more for control decks. This deck is going to use all its mana for aggro.

So I replaced the tech edges

I had mystic snake in here but like rob said all my mana goes towards the kill i did have 2 mystic snakes in here and swapped those out for cryptic commands and dropped those for serum visions. I have the remands in here for drawing cards idk i can test the mana leaks however atm I am testing a full out aggro with no counter most of the time the remands i find in testing are dead cards in my hand.. so i replaced with 3x flash viper and added another coat of arms.

This deck isnt midrange though. Cryptic command was to tap their creatures and counter a spell so on your turn u win also cryptic is 10 times better than mystic snake. Second you will almost always never have mana open to counter anything you want to kill them as fast as possible turn 3 kills are possible with this deck. You do make valid arguments however if i was to go with a more aggro/control deck i would have mystic/venser package but i believe with zoo being the main deck on m-l that i would much rather go with a fast aggro. Also if the board does get swept its pretty easy to make a come back
