So i was reading mtg daily today and i saw an article about burning vengeance, and before i finished reading the card i was in love. I always wanted to play a burn style combo deck like pyromancer. So i decided to go with it.

// Lands
4 [ISD] Sulfur Falls
6 [M12] Mountain (1)
2 [MBS] Island (1)
4 [M12] Drowned Catacomb
4 [SOM] Darkslick Shores
4 [NPH] Swamp (2)

// Creatures
4 [ISD] Snapcaster Mage

// Spells
1 [M12] Sorin's Vengeance
1 [ISD] Devil's Play
4 [ISD] Desperate Ravings
4 [ISD] Burning Vengeance
4 [M12] Mana Leak
2 [M12] Shock
2 [ISD] Past in Flames
4 [ISD] Forbidden Alchemy
4 [ISD] Think Twice
2 [M12] Incinerate
1 [ISD] Dissipate
3 [ISD] Bump in the Night

First my disclaimer, i've only played a couple of games and the deck does not look promising. I won a couple, but it was against not against terribly good decks. But at this point in Innistrad not many of the new decks are pretty good.

Now the deck. The biggest thing in there would be the inclusion of black. Well it started with me trying to flashback forbiden alchemy, than i found bump in the night and decided to just go with black for the single sorins vengeance for some double vengeance action.

Other than that, i got as many blue draw spells as i could with flashback, not really much to say there. Some burn spells, nothing much to explain either, they help vs aggro and it helps to kill enemies.

Snapcaster mage could seem like over kill but it's more for control with mana leak than to kill. Past in flames is there cause i think it works well as a finisher, it worked pretty well with some shocks to finish a guy.

Other than that i don't see any big unexplained card. You are free to ask if you want to know anything else.

So basicly i posted it, cause it is always nice to have other peoples opinions. Also i could use some help with the sideboard. I was thinking:
4x Slagstorm
3x Noxious Revival (To get burning back just in case)

So anyone has anything to say?

P.S: I know the deck might be too slow and it might not be good ever. That said i think that with enough support from the second innistrand set this deck could be nice. I just want to see if it has any potential and maybe get the cards cheap in case this deck gets good with the second set of the innistrad block.

I think maybe going the UR/URb path may be better:

Creatures:

4xSnapcaster Mage
4xDelver of secrets
4x Ludevics Test Subject

Explanation:
Snapcaster Mage to regain counters.
Delver of secrets for a 3/2 fly on the start, u use a lot of instants anyway right?
Ludevic is the new and better level up card.

Spells:
4x Burning Vengeance
4x Think Twice
4x Desperate Ravings
3x Forbidden Alchemy
4x Mana Leak
3x Brimstone Volley
2x Devils Play
1x Dissipate

Lands:
4x Sulfur Falls
6x Mountains
6xIslands
4x Drowned Catacomb
3x Swamp

Well i don't see the use of getting selver of secrets and ludivecs test subject main. Idk why i would need them if im trying to kill a person by combo burn and i do not see any synergy with my other cards.

Changes to the manabase will be done once i test more with this build, since i started with a UR one and havent tested much with this new version.

This deck needs gut shot and some gitaxian probes. They're amazing in the combo. You can hard cast them early to deal with things/draw cards for the combo, then when you want to combo with them, you pay 2 life all the way down to 1/2 life yourself. It really seals the deal when you want to combo off.

Maybe, but most of the time i win with the normal burn and not with past in flames, but it might help, i can see myself using them in the same turn as past in flames since they don't cost mana.
