So, as the judge said i won the round....well lets start!


As an all time lover of Ravnica, i want to see a round based on a comeback of the plane. The cards should be uncommon to mythic rare, staples on T2 and flavorfull as the set was.
Going to rate based on: */3 playability, */3 flavor, */2 inovation, */2 nostalgia.

Never did one of these, but I'll give it a shot:

Spark of Wisdom UUR

Creature- Elemental Wizard
Rare

Haste

Spark of Wisdom is unblockable. When this creature deals damage to opponent draw cards equal to its power. Sacrifice it at the end of turn.

I had a spark of wisdom but as quick as it came it was gone again.

Knowledge Amplification 2U

Enchantment - Spell-Mutation (Rare)

Spells cost an additional {3} to cast.
Whenever a player casts a spell, that player draws a card.

Visiting the Izzet district has a slight chance of inducing a splitting headache.

This is a card from a cycle of drawback/reward enchantments (Spell-Mutations).

So, in the storyline, after the Nephilim incident, Niv-Mizzet disappeared without a trace. Here is my theory:

Niv-Mizzet, the Returned 2UURR

Planewalker - Niv-Mizzet (Mythic)

+1: The next instant or sorcery you cast gains replicate, where its replicate cost is equal to its mana cost.

-3: You may cast an instant or sorcery card from your graveyard without paying its mana cost. If you do, exile it afterwards.

-X: Draw X cards. Niv-Mizzet, the Returned deals X damage to target creature or player.

Innocent Incubating W

Sorcery

Put a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying onto the battlefield.

Haunt (When this spell card is put into a graveyard after resolving, exile it haunting target creature.)

Haunted creature gets -1/-1.

When the creature Innocent Incubating haunts dies, put a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying onto the battlefield.

When the childs heart stopped, her spirit longed for another.


* Bare in mind that if you cast this with no creatures on the battlefield, it will haunt the token, kill the token, and put another token onto the battlefield.

I could see this being a staple in RDW decks.. it's actually kind of OP'd if you ask me.. The flavor text of it should read "You kill me, and I kill you!" lol
