that one deck with 4 ad nausem and 4 mind's desire might kill itself a bit too often

Not really, knowing the most you can take is 6 from ad nauseum, just go until you get to six or less and chances are with the low curve in the deck you will draw 15-20 cards and that should be more than enough to combo out. The season you whould have both in the deck would be to have 8 combo enabalers.

Would *anyone* have fun playing this format?

It goes like this:

You roll against your opponent. If you win the roll, you get to goldfish a combo while your opponent does nothing.


If you lose, you get to watch them goldfish while you do nothing.


Sounds incredibly boring even if you win. Confused

Why play with no counters? That makes the format retarded... but playing with FoW and Pyroblast, the format has some level metagaming.

this deck has killed on turn 1 100% so far.
its basically a suped up version of Randy Buehler's old Jar and Feather list from GP vienna 99. I even had turn 1 kill when my opening hand had all four memory jars. (Jar, jar, jar, jar, mana vault, mox jet, academy)

If counters were allowed in this "format", buehlers original would be better though, because he had MD defense grid and sideboarded duress.

This deck has killed on turn 1 14/15 games with the only game it didnt work involving mulligan to 3. You usually draw your whole deck on turn 1. Its kind of fun to actually goldfish.
