Thread to discuss anything related for the trial and master scheduled from July 4th to July 17th. Link to it here: http://www.magic-league.com/info/calendar.php

For the next two weeks, our schedule is:

6 Standard (1 is the master)
4 M12 Sealed
2 Legacy
1 Block Party
1 Eternal Pauper

Is the rise of Standard. With a new set out the format is right on time to test, and two sealed per week will also get you to taste M12.
Our Other formats trial are Block Party, where you basically build a block deck of your choice, and eternal pauper, a fun format where you build your deck using only commons.

Standard is fine, of course; it's a necessary evil. I don't feel like sealed trials are much fun, and I can't imagine Eternal Pauper/Block Party being better than formats like Overextended.

I accept 2 non-IRL tournament formats. No more.

This is good.

4 Sealed I like also. No more no less.

Way, way, way too much standard lately. How many t2 masters in a row? 4?5? And 6 t2 trials every 2 weeks - that's basically every other day.

I know we all want to get a grip on what the meta looks like, but it's getting pretty monotone.

I agree with moscowdemon, with the overextended master we had why not push overextended or modern into the other trial slot!

as was here said, more "other fun" formats should be included imho, especially RFT or mby alphabet or tribal wars:) at least 2/week could be nice, that lefts 5 more for 2x standart 1x legacy 1x seal and 1x smth else (ext/vintage).

<3 4x Sealed Smile

Tough i sincerly hope, that we dont play Standard till Inistrad comes out, after the Nationals-Season is over Sad
Personally i would replace at least two of the standard trials with either Modern or Overextended, but i guess "its the season" is a pretty strong argument.

It's a nice split 4 real format 2 non real format. As many t2 tournament as possible is clearly good right now since there is a new expansion plus there is a common need to test for nationals.Nice job ^^
