You have a very solid two colour build available, leaning more heavily black for Sorin, Thirst, Swarm, Shade, Distress, and Consume Spirit. Manalith ramps you to Giants and Sengirs with Sorin soon to follow. Also provides a modicum of mana fixing for Outrage and Minotaurs, and more black for Sorin/Consume. Lots of early game with bloodthirsty men and removal, with your 5 mana squad and Sorin ready to come down and clean up.

Oh, and consider Satchel as a kind of tome effect for when you run out of gas, helps you find it again by giving you free men, life, or avoiding land topdecks. Crown is a very good card for this style of deck as it provides a way to break creature stalemates vs any big creature and gives you more pseudo-removal to set up a dominant board state with Sorin.
