Esper Spine (Help needed)

You need a way to deal with creatures once they hit the board. I see the inquisitions and leaks and magnets, but i just dont see a way for you to deal with turn one guide or lacerator.

I love Spine too, a vindicate by any other name (or casting cost) is still a vindicate imo.

Everflowing chalice interacts with Volt Charge to ramp mana, or Koths 2nd ability can "ramp" to spine mana. But really the deck can wait until turn 7 to cast the Spine. There is a lot of burn for creature control, and the Mycosynth Wellsprings provide a steady stream of mana.

Ofc this deck utilizes NPH. The patch is available so I see zero reason to continue to play without NPH. Phrexian Core is the card that combos best with the Spine. The deck is very flexible and most of the deck can be directly swapped into other mono coloured decks or 2 coloured decks. Red seems like the most fun cause Artillarize is busted 3 ways from Thursday.

I see you have Phrexian Metamorph, so I guess you are using NPH, just noticed that. Maybe you should add some Vedalken Certarchs, that card is awesome.

WIth tezzs ability and a mimic vat you can make the spine a 5/5 and when it dies imprint it to make it for 3 mana

I was going to say you should def add the preordains, but you already did. I'm still running the hybrid version myself. Need to get some tier 1 testing to see how it does there. Vs randoms it can usually grind the opponent down. My fav win so far was hitting with a 5/5 inkmoth nexus, saccing an ichor wellspring and volt charge to proliferate. Then next turn treasure mage for contagion engine and win.

Well then... I just dropped the spine turn 4 and had a sac outlet for turn 5.

Still no sb yet. Koth wasn't necessary for the deck to run, neither was 4 throne of geth. added 4 preordains and another volt charge.
