I thought of absorb/armour as a good way to counteract berserk, but its true it could get powerful. I think it should be something reserved mostly for equipments, auras, and a few W and B creatures...

On the general feeling...I think flavour is the most important thing. I tend to dislike the latest magic sets, where flavour is always secondary to game balance and mechanical balance. I mean, if a card is flavourly necessary to break the color pie, well, I find it perfectly ok. I still think scryb sprites were green and the rule "green doesnt fly" doesnt make sense in flavour terms, for example.

I also prefer long matches, which means creatures should not be too powerful. Some kind of power level as the Tempest block is fine. Or of course, the nice and flavourful Mirage block.
